My new favorite song is “Hey There Delilah” by the Plain White T’s, with “We Might as Well Be Strangers” coming in at a close second.
So…my summer has been moving along swimmingly. Well, actually, it’s been going pretty fast. We’re almost in the month of July, which is notorious for going the fastest. Grad parties are my social life as of the summer. I don’t really have a lot to do. Well, that’s a lie too. I’ve been applying to millions of jobs. Millions, what a hyperbole. But over the past 4 weeks--12 applications, 2 calls, 2 emails, 4 interviews, and nothing. So if you know of anyone who is hiring, please make sure you mention this Ginger’s name. Although this is probably the worst place to post that, because no one does Xanga anymore. Oh well, I’ll find a job eventually…
So far, I’ve had about 4 graduation parties--Josh Dentel’s, Alixanne’s, Woo’s, and Joe Kraemer’s and I have Carly Cunningham’s tomorrow. All three were good. Each party was better than the next. Oh man, my new favorite game is CatchPhrase. I told my mom we need it for Carly’s grad party, and she said I have to spend my day camp money, so there you go. We’ll have it. Haha. Good times. Joe’s party was a blast. His party was in a cabin/barn-like structure, so it had a really cool upstairs, and was just really fun. I didn’t want to leave, but a close friend of the family, Sonny, well, his son, Pat, just had his tonsils taken out, and there was a problem with post-surgery, so we decided to visit and give our wishes.
This week kind of blew. Day camp was horrible. I’ve never been so sad to be around kids, but they’re horrible. They defy us just to get a rise out of us. So I’m done caring. I’m taking a care-free approach.
Band kind of made it better, but made it worse at the same time. Drum line makes my life love. We’re so close, but when you put people like Steve Martialitus in the Drum Line, the chi is DEFINITELY disrupted. We played volleyball Thursday with the music stands when it rained. Good times. Tuesday, Teresa and I got almost nothing done, and Paul Hagerich and Josh were there to confirm this statement. We talked about random bullshit in the band, and we had a great time doing it.
I bonded with Andy Kramer today. It was great. Mr. Leopold was talking about how our urine should be pale if we have enough fluids in our system, and Andy goes, “Mom, would you consider this pale?” HAHAHAHAHA. It was great. We got yelled at for laughing-Matt, Andy, and me. It was great. It’s days like these that I love band.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Keep safe.
