  • Hey all!

The celebration was great!  The fireworks were most awesome - I was laughing my head off!
aaaannnnnd for those of you who DON'T know me as well as others, that means nothing to you.  When I'm very very happy, I laugh.  That's just my reaction, my friends always kid with me about how everyone else just grins - I laugh.  So yeah ^-^

Sadly, my contract with Pub. America got lost in the mail, so they have to resend it.  Uch... more waiting.

On a lighter side, blackberry growth is phenomenal this year!  Just today I've picked well over two quarts! I was out there over an hour, but for me, picking blackberries is a extremely therapeutic and relaxing thing, so it barely felt like even 15 minutes.  Sadly, my fingers are still stained purple and red.  Lol, I was gonna invite some of my friends (a set of twins) to pick some with me, but Jacob is terrified of blood, and lets just say those stains on my fingers aren't just from blackberry juice.

Tomorrow we're having a big shindig with some friends of the family, celebrating all the veterans in out families.  Jay, in theirs who is sadly only visiting and will have to return in a few days, and my dad, who is home for good (thank god)  there will be food (including my mother's cookies and my blackberry cobbler) music, all around fun stuff, and fireworks!!!! *-*!!!!!

    In case you guys haven't figured out yet, I love fireworks quite a lot ^-^;;

PS.  Here's a sample of my work that will go into the amazing book of doodles i mentioned in my last entry.

BTW, it's not anything to horribly remarkable, but my friends seem to like them (than again, they're my friends) and it's easier to make a book that explains all the doodles instead of telling each person individually what each one is going on about, all the symbolism, etc, etc.

Past few days have been boring, uninteresting, but quite wonderful ^-^

My mom was working at the daycare all week, so I got TONS of me time.  I've become addicted to a new anime called Ouran High School Host Club.  It's a pretty girly anime, but it's pretty good. (If anyone has seen it you will know what I mean when I say this... why do those crazy girls like it when the twins act gay?!?!!?!  WHY?!?!?)

Other than that, not to much has been going on.  I successfully found a brand-new-never-taken-out-of-its-box Mario 64 game, guaranteed to work or my money back.  I've been looking for that game forever and a day, so I'm happy.

Other than that, I'm working on the second edition of my Amazing Book of Doodles, and home to be able to get it out to people soon (sadly, I may have to start charging, the first edition was free for my friends, but it was so much paper and ink, I think I'll need to charge this time, probably like 3-5 bucks)

Today is the little independence celebration here in my little town.  are MASSIVE 1/4 of a mile main street (and yes, I'm completely serious, it's 1/4 of a mile)  will be filled to the brim with local artisans, craft and jam makers, etc etc.  They'll be lots of great food, live music and FIREWORKS!!!  We always have our 4th of July celebration earlier than the actually date, since so many people go out of town for the holiday.  It'll be cool though, I'm excited ^-^

    *********** UPDATE ***********

    Month One

    Mommy
I am only 8 inches long
but I have all my organs.
I love the sound of your voice.
    Every time I hear it
I wave my arms and legs.
The sound of your heart beat
    is my favorite lullaby.

    Month Two

    Mommy
today I learned how to suck my thumb.
    If you could see me
you could definitely tell that I am a baby.
I'm not big enough to survive outside my home though.
It is so nice and warm in here.

    Month Three

    You know what Mommy
    I'm a boy!!
I hope that makes you happy.
I always want you to be happy.
I don't like it when you cry.
    You sound so sad.
    It makes me sad too
and I cry with you even though
    you can't hear me.

    Month Four

    Mommy
my hair is starting to grow.
It is very short and fine
but I will have a lot of it.
I spend a lot of my time exercising.
I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes
and stretch my arms and legs.
I am becoming quite good at it too.

    Month Five

You went to the doctor today.
    Mommy, he lied to you.
He said that I'm not a baby.
I am a baby Mommy, your baby.
    I think and feel.
    Mommy, what's abortion?

    Month Six

I can hear that doctor again.
    I don't like him.
    He seems cold and heartless.
    Something is intruding my home.
The doctor called it a needle.
Mommy what is it? It burns!
    Please make him stop!
I can't get away from it!
    Mommy! HELP me!

    Month Seven

    Mommy
    I am okay.
    I am in Jesus's arms.
    He is holding me.
    He told me about abortion.
Why didn't you want me Mommy?

    Every Abortion Is Just . . .

One more heart that was stopped.
Two more eyes that will never see.
Two more hands that will never touch.
Two more legs that will never run.
One more mouth that will never speak.

    Abortion is wrong.

  • Boy howdy have I had a crazy time!

Mk, first comes first, some cool stuff has happened.

Brandin's going though a rough road in his life - some psychological issues.  Nothing dangerous, of course, just his depression coming back.  So I'm giving him a lot of support.  He's kinda lucky though, I think.  His depression is just a purely psychological thing, while mine is a physical problem.  For those of you who don't know, my brain can't produce the correct amount of 'happy' chemicals by itself, and to make up for the lack of chemicals it creates too many 'stress' chemicals, so mine is a physical problem.  His can be solved with a little therapy and support from friends and family - mine will never just go away, I just have to keep taking the pills and stuff.

    Oh well, off THAT tangent!
    Sorry! lol

Anywho, I went 33 hours without sleep on saturday and sunday.  On saturday I got up at 9 am, went to work at 3pm and got home around 11:30.  Then, at midnight I had to leave for the church - why?  Because I'm part of the Easter band!  Basically we had a light breakfast from 1am-1:30am, than reported to our areas.  After that we made rounds around old salem, playing easter hymns.  It's been a tradition for over 50 years, and the residents actually get up that early to watch us play!  It's pretty cool ^-^
We were done about 4, had a bigger breakfast at 4am-5am, and than more practice.  At exactly 6:30 am we all gathered in the square and the chuche's bell tolled, signaling the sunrise and, in our tradition, a new day and the resurrection of Christ.  After that we went though a service that led to the graveyard (symbolizing life after death) and finished the service.  We played thought the entire thing.
    It was great ^-^
I went to be at 6pm on sunday - 33 hours of no sleep.
I slept until 9 am the next day.

    hurray sleep ^-^!

    Love
      Laura
