The celebration was great! The fireworks were most awesome - I was laughing my head off! aaaannnnnd
for those of you who DON'T know me as well as others, that means
nothing to you. When I'm very very happy, I laugh. That's just my
reaction, my friends always kid with me about how everyone else just
grins - I laugh. So yeah ^-^
Sadly, my contract with Pub. America got lost in the mail, so they have to resend it. Uch... more waiting.
On a
lighter side, blackberry growth is phenomenal this year! Just today
I've picked well over two quarts! I was out there over an hour, but for
me, picking blackberries is a extremely therapeutic and relaxing thing,
so it barely felt like even 15 minutes. Sadly, my fingers are still
stained purple and red. Lol, I was gonna invite some of my friends (a
set of twins) to pick some with me, but Jacob is terrified of blood,
and lets just say those stains on my fingers aren't just from
blackberry juice.
Tomorrow
we're having a big shindig with some friends of the family,
celebrating all the veterans in out families. Jay, in theirs who is
sadly only visiting and will have to return in a few days, and my dad,
who is home for good (thank god) there will be food (including my
mother's cookies and my blackberry cobbler) music, all around fun
stuff, and fireworks!!!! *-*!!!!!
In case you guys haven't figured out yet, I love fireworks quite a lot ^-^;;
Love Laura
PS. Here's a sample of my work that will go into the amazing book of doodles i mentioned in my last entry.
BTW, it's not anything to horribly remarkable, but my friends seem to
like them (than again, they're my friends) and it's easier to make a
book that explains all the doodles instead of telling each person
individually what each one is going on about, all the symbolism, etc,
etc.
