  • It was a good Thanksgiving. Holidays with the extended family are getting progressively less awkward year by year, and I'm very thankful for that. Other things I'm thankful for are: everything. I'm thankful for everything. I'm thankful that I do not have one single need that God has not fulfilled in extroardinary ways. I'm not hungry, I'm not thirsty, I'm not sick, I'm not dying, I'm not imprisoned, I'm not persecuted, I'm not unhappy, I'm not in a broken family, I'm not cold, I'm not in need of anything in any way. And that is an incredible responsibility.

I had better not waste all this. God put me in a place of incredible luxury and plenitude. He made my life easy and my burden light. so I need to stop acting like I deserve it all and start using it. I don't want to waste this. I don't want to miss a single opportunity that I have that someone less fortunate doesn't have. God gave me all this not so I could sit on my butt, but so I could use it, and I'm thankful to Him for it. And I'm thankful for all of you. He has blessed me so greatly. He is wonderful, marvelous, matchless in every way. :)

We are all very blessed . . . and you're right, we must make sure we don't waste it or abuse it.

Hey, I forgot to congratulate you when you were here yesterday for winning the VOD contest!  Your essay was excellent!  I can't remember when the district judging is, but do let me know when you find out.  (I'm thinking it's going to go well for you.  )
