This Just In: Playa La Macha Landfill Suspended!!

I just got word that on Tuesday June 6 Municipal Building Inspector Dennis Mora ordered further work on the Playa La Macha Landfill to be suspended.  Our thanks to Inspector Mora for his quick and diligent work in stopping this very damaging and unauthorized act.

Given the fragility and importance of the Playa La Macha ecosystem the Fund for Costa Rica will be demanding that the suspension of labor be converted into a full prohibition of work on the site.   We will also demand that the dirt be removed and that the affected area be reforested.
