- How Can I Live -

The Passion of The Christ

As the credits rolled, I sat there and thought to myself that I felt very loved.  And unworthy of that love.  But loved, nonetheless. I went with my relatives. We bought about 20 tickets and took a whole row. Man I've never cried ina movie before but damn I was pretty damn close in that scene with him tied to that stump when they scorged him. Not at first, but after they kept doing it and doing it and doing it and doing it I just wanted to jump ot of my seat and scream "Stop! Leave him alone!" All my aunts and some of my girl cousins were crying there eyes out. Very powerful movie. Some people on some websites had questions about the inclusion of Satan. I tend to think of Satan in this movie as the observer/narrator in all of this. Satan never really interacted physicaly with anyone or talk to anyone other than the "baby".  I actually thought that was one of the best thing about the movie. A really powerful performance by Rosalinda Celentano. The special effect were really creepy, but I loved it! The whole thing with the kids and the baby reminded me of an Aphex Twin video called "Come To Daddy". A very errie video. I won't be rating this movie in a top 10 list cause that just so trivial to do to a film like this. I tend to look at it as a documentary camera there just documenting it for people to view in a history class. One of the best movie experience I've ever had. The cool thing was that when the movie ended, almost everyone in the theater sat there in silence just starring at the screen like in a "Wow" or "Whoa" state. I tried to take a video clip on my phone of the crowd after word but it came out really dark I think, but it was just something to see.

Definitely go see it, and come out reaffirmed or to use a matrix term, "unplugged".

I really disregard the Bible as God's perfect word cause you really don't know if it God word anymore. Don't get me wrong. I believe in God. God is Love. Then Love is all you need. If you love one another and god then you have him in your heart and not by saying a prayer for him to come in your heart. That my problem with the Catholic churh and just churches for that matter. It all ritualistic. To me it's pointless and stupid. Religion is the reason for all these wars no matter what religion it is. Let's face it,. There all ways gonna be war. There will never be lasting peace. I do agree the Bible is a good book just not God's word. I believe it to just be a book of history and some moral stories. Like for instance, I don't believ cussing is wrong unless you doing in a hate ful way toward someone. Now if you tell that to someone who is a devout christian they'll tell you it is. You ask "Why?" and they'll say cause God says so. Then you may ask "Where does it say it?" And I can't remember where it is right now, but they'll show you if they know. Then I ask, "How do I know that this is God's word and not just some very "moral" guy who wrote?" They'll probably say by faith. Ok maybe that works for them but I need a little more than that to believe that cussing is wrong. That just an example I'm using for many other things that are similar. They reason I know there is a God is because of his creation. I, mean, just look around you. No way that came out of nowhere.

Seeing this movie today only reafferms my belief that Love is all you need and is why Jesus was sent to us. To show us the power of love. What greater gift of love then to die for someone. Just like what John Lennon song, Love is all you need. You got love in you, then you have God in you.

Just thought I'd comment on this, about the Bible: The Bible is so complete with no contradictions, even with the Apocrypha, that it couldn't possibly have been written by a committee.  It would have taken many a genious smarter than Shakespeare, C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, Chesterton, and more COMBINED to write that story, and it was written by uneducated people.
