I ought to be getting ready for work, but instead I am watching my brother's one-week-old new motorcycle being unloaded from his coworker's pickup truck.
The motorcycle, once shiny red with no scratches, is in three pieces. Tubes are bent, the fender has holes in it, it takes three men to get the main piece out of the truck and into our garage.
My brother is in the Intensive Care Unit, deeply drugged and with lots of monitors and cords and IVs hooked up to him. At 5:56pm yesterday, I walked into the house after work excited about a quiet evening. At 6:03pm, Dad and Mom got The Phone Call and were rushing to the hospital to meet the ambulance. Our friend Jordan arrived around 7:00pm and kept us girls from going crazy. By 9:30pm Jacob was in his room at ICU with a diagnosis of lacerated kidney and liver and a slightly collapsed lung.
Life changes fast.

Will be praying.
Amen.
praying for him and your family
I just found out. Chrissy brought it up at AWANA for prayer. I was so shocked J. So shocked. I've been there. Life changes in the the ring of just one phone call. My heart goes out to you. I just want to wrap you in my arms and hug you tightly. As we all are, praying for you.
