Good Morning! I have some good news to pass on... I went to see the Physical Therapist yesterday & after asking me several questions & checking out my ankle.....he thinks with some exercises....I WON'T HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY!!!!!! How's that for a praise report??? I was so excited that I think some of the pain went away with just his words....LOL!! He thinks that he can get me out of the boot cast with-in a couple of weeks. PRAISE THE LORD!!! This came at the perfect time (ain't that just like God?) to go with Training Hearts "Blogger Friend School" assignment this week.

    BountifulBlessings

Part A: Share at least 3 “Bountiful Blessings” that the Lord has abundantly provided.

The Lord has brought us through sooooo much in the last year. We have had children get in trouble & it's all worked out. We've had unexpected bills to pop up at "just the right time" when there was extra money. We've seen the hand of God working in our lives in so many areas. Three bountiful blessings....

    1. My family: I am so blessed to have a husband who loves me in spite of my problems, imperfections & down right unsubmissiveness. He is so kind & understanding & such a hard worker. He provides well for his family. My children are pretty well scattered now but when push comes to shove, they have their mama's back & that what's important, right.

    2. My home: This may seem trivial to some but a nice home is so important to me. Not to say "Look at me, I have a nice house" but because when growing up as a child, we had nothing. I remember living in a house where you could look through the floorboards & see the dirt ground underneath it. It was nothing more than a shack but it was all we had. Now, we live in a home that is warm, has all the extras (indoor plumbing & electricity) & is soooo comfortable. I thank God for His provisions!

    3. My health: Instead of re-writing this one....see the beginning of the post...LOL!!

Part B: Share your Thanksgiving Feast {past or present} You may use Photos, menus, recipes, activities, traditions…Be creative! –”Who carves the turkey?”, “Do you save the wishbone?”, “What do you serve for dessert?”, “Who hosts the Thanksgiving dinner in your family” ….my favorite…”What do you do with all those leftovers?”

Our Thanksgivings are usually spent at home with just family. In years past, when the children were small, we had a few traditions. We would do up a cornish hen just like the turkey for the smallest child. They got to have their own special "Tom Turkey". Bryan always does the turkey & I do all the other things to go with it. The boys always got the wishbone & that signified that it was time for dessert, after they pulled the bone & we all had a good laugh. I always made a lemon pie for BJ (his favorite), Angel liked pumpkin & Kathy & Shaun like chocolate. Alot of the time we would would have turtle cake also. And there would be cookies galore! (I'm starting to see why it's so hard for me to lose weight...LOL!!)

I just went on a wild goose chase for pics. of past Thanksgivings. Can you believe I didn't find a single picture???  I found Easter pics, Christmas pics, birthday pics but not even one Thanksgiving day pic!  So, I'll have to give you a visual.....look at the picture that I'm going to post (after this part of the post) & imagine it surrounded by a gorgeous turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean cassarole, corn on the cob, deviled eggs, homemade bread & rolls, pies, cakes, & cookies....now picture along with this anywhere between 3-6 happy, hungry people hovering around like vultures circling for the kill & you've got the Lamb family Thanksgiving!

    Picture folder 1 095

Nice picture, huh? Shaun looks like he's trying out for a part in a movie of Henry the 8th....LOL!!

Part C: Post a Scripture that reminds you of your blessings!

"When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee" - Deuteronomy 8:10
