| | "A little revolution now and then is a good thing." Sean Connery ~ The Hunt for Red October From Wikipedia: A revolution (from the Latin revolutio, "a turnaround") is a significant change that ususally occurs in a short period of time. It's a brand new year!! I can't believe it's already 2008. It seems like it was just yesterday a good part of the world was in fear of what would happen on Y2K! The time passes so quickly nowadays. My one and only true 'resolution' this year is to keep up with xanga more. It is something I've gotten out of the habit of, and it's something that I truly love to do...besides, I've missed chatting will all of my dear xanga friends! Resolution aside, I have made several New Year's REVOLUTIONS!! I started my diet back the middle of April 2007 and have done great so far (32 pounds!). But I've gotten off track the last month or so and now need to get back down to business. For Christmas, my beautiful, younger, incredibly smart sister Christy got me and Butch a Weight Watchers food scale! Everything now gets weighed and points value assessed before it goes into our mouths. Butch (ahem, Santa Clause) got me a Gazelle for Christmas. He evidently did good because my beautiful, older, incredible smart sister Dianne (who is also a chiropractor) informed me that the motions used with the Gazelle is the best for people who have scoliosis. Way to go Santa!! So far I am having lots of fun using it. My second REVOLUTION is to be more organized and get with the Flylady program. My sister Christy will be pleased that her constant suggestions (infer: nagging ) for me to sign up for Flylady have finally paid off. I've been a 'flygirl' since the middle of November. Now my goal is to actually open, read and do the things they send out in those daily emails rather than sticking them (unopened) into another file! Hey...baby steps, right?? I am also using another one of Christy's gifts (by the way, thank you sis...yanno I love you), my 'Busy Mom's Calendar'. It is now all set up and on my fridge and will be used (among other things) for helping the kids keep up with their daily chores. I guess if you've gotten this far, you deserve a standing ovation! Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back to keep in touch more this week! Let the revolution begin! |
