Well guys this is it... a bit of a update..... Woah its been a while since i wrote anything much on here and i apologise if i have kept to in suspense.. but maybe i havent! Its been quite a busy two months really or so.. the run up to Christmas has been a nightmare in th shop i work in! People fighting over the last Chipolata... packets of bread sauce.... and jars of mincemeat! its stressfull! I have recently been moved departments in work i was on checkouts and customer service, but now im a baker and customer champion! May i mention that im the only Customer champion in the whole of the Tesco coperation! The job was made up by my boss for our Store to assist directly with customers and work in every department if people are sick. So im just the busy body of the shop.. but i love it. On November 7th i went to Glasgow to see a gig with the band Muse... If you have not heard of this band then shame on you!! awesome Alternative rock band and have won many awards for there exceptional live performances.. i was privilidged to see them live! I went with one of my best mates Haya and we met lots of people there we knew. Then after the gig we stayed with our mate becca in the university halls was good fun we ended up walking to subway to grab a sandwich at 2 in the morning and chatting to all hours! The next day me and haya spent the day in Glasgow with some shopping and we met up with Eilidh and Andrew. All my friends are at university in Glasgow and Edinburgh.. so i don't get to see much of them which is pretty boring but theres a few lingering still here at home so its not all bad we try and meet up as often as we can. Also i went to another gig in November the week after Muse. I went to see the Scissor sisters. There very erm Extrovert in a sense! Amazing it was! i was at the front barrier and got excellent pictures. My Best Friend Claire has a back problem called scoliosis. This is when your Spine has a curved shaped instead of being normally straight. She has had this problem for about 2 years and has gradually got worse. So worse that her Ribcage has been moving around with her spine and was sticking out of her side. She was experiencing alot of pain with this and discomfort. She was due for a operation to straighten her spine in perhaps Jan-Feb time. She went on holiday for 2 weeks to Gran Canaria in the Canary islands south of spain at the end of October and came back to a phonecall from the Hospital in Edinburgh asking if she would have the operation the following week! Being so brave she said yes. So about a month ago she had her operation, She has two Titanium rods on her spine to straighten it and also she had a bone graft done at the same time to sort her ribs out. This was a 10 hour operation!! I was worried sick the whole time because it is a very risky op and could of put her in a wheelchair for the rest of her life if any mistakes were made. But she made it through ok shes just in so much pain now and a bit distressed at the fact she cant walk so good but she will get stronger during time it takes about 6 months to heal fully. She got home 2 weeks ago and is getting used to normal life again. But she got the best Christmas present..a new spine! shes even taller than she was so thats a bonus! But no matter what happens to Claire she keeps her good sense of humour and cheer! I love her so much! Well some bad news some of you may of heard.. My grandad Walter past away a few weeks ago :( This was just so bad hes my big tumfy! The sweetest Gentleman anybody would meet. He passed away peacefully and at home where he most wanted to be. Luckily my Dad had flown over a few days before and seen him before he died, and myself and mum had driven down that day and saw him smiling and cracked a few jokes before! It was just all meant to be. My gran is doing fine shes out in Oman just now having herself a wee holiday taking the stress off a bit! so i look forward to seeing her soon. The funeral was lovely just the way my Grandad would of wanted it to be. And i got a chance to catch up with some family i havent seen for a while. Now im looking forward to a quiet Christmas with my mum! im working on Christmas eve so be nice to have a few days off after! Im just about to head into town to meet a few mates and exchange gifts!! My prayers and thoughts go out to the Douglas Family. They have shown such magnificent love during the past few weeks and i respect them greatly! Love you all. Mich xox |
