Ok I know its pretty soon for another update, but i have some big news. The beard competition isn't until tomorrow, so No i am not a world champ YET.
I guess it began over the summer when my friend Stephanie Brotherton emailed me about a school that her sister in law works at called Taejon Christian International School. the website is www.tcis.or.kr check it out. It's an international boarding school in South Korea. So I started to email people about it and to make a long story short while I was in Florence I was doing a phone interview with the director for a position at their school. It's an RA position, in the dorms. Basically I would be working with 8th-10th graders, getting them up in morning, helping them with their school work, doing bible studies. Straight up relational ministry. I live their in the dorm and I teach a class 3 times a week. Either Bible, Phys.ed., or study hall. So a couple of days ago i interviewed a second time and got the job! So it looks like sometime in mid-november I will be moving to South Korea for an 18 month contract. I still get summers off since it's a school so hopefully I will be able to still work some at camps. For those of you wondering, yes it is safe, it's not NORTH Korea, and there is no war in Croatia either. I get payed too by the way! Thats always a plus, so I am pretty excited about the whole thing. On the downside, this may slow plans down for me visiting Colorado over Christmas time, and its going to end my European trip early.
I am going to try and spend a good chunk of time at home before i head off, so if you want to get together drop me a line. If you have any questions about it feel free to email me also. Thanks for all the prayers and eprops.
