12 Babies Die During Vaccine Trials & Wake Up Call

Before reading this post...

This is a Wake Up And Smell The Coffee Kinda Post!

It is extreme turnaround from the previous cute fluffy puppy post to some current events happening that if you are easily scared by  - you may not want to read this.  And for those who only like to read posts that have pictures in them - you will definitely find this one boring.

Have any of you read Blaine's recent blog entry?  This kind of thing just upsets me...

12 Babies Die During Vaccine Trials in Argentina

Be sure to read the whole article linked in the post.  The attitude just about kills me!  There is so much of this kind of thing going on and right under our noses.  Where are we and what have we become that this kind of thing is acceptable?!  It amazes me that people get more hung up about what happened on American Idol or some other inane television program that will mean absolutely nothing when it all comes down to it than they do about things outside of that silly little box that feeds you.

And...

One good example of where we are is here recently we have had a few incidents where people were in need of help and no one did anything to assist them.  Did you see the story about the man hit by a car in Connecticut as he crossed the street?  Some people walked right by him after witnessing the car flipping him into the air.  Some walked up and looked but didn't offer to help.  What about the woman who was in an emergency room at a hospital who had a seizure in the waiting room, fell to the floor and nothing was done until after she died!  The receptionist peered over the desk to see what happened but did not get up to offer assistance.  After some time, one of the nurses finally came up and nudged her with her foot (with her foot?!) to see if she was alive and walked right on!  It wasn't until hours later that a doctor came out and confirmed that she was indeed dead.  This was in a hospital?!  They have both these incidents on video tape.

What on earth?!

It is heartbreaking to see what we have become!  How we must grieve God!

What So Proudly We Hailed is not written as something that may happen in the future - It Is Happening Right NOW!  When Blaine wrote the book, we knew of some of the things going on but never expected that what he wrote would be so applicable to today.  Scary?  You betcha!

Did you hear about Obama wanting to implement a national civilian STASI?  Here is what he said...

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set.  We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded,"  Obama told a Colorado Springs audience earlier this month.

Now I'm not telling you who to vote for or who not to vote for.  I'm just bringing some things to our attention that is a repeating of history.  Could this quote have been taken out of context?  No!  I don't think so - read it!  What does this remind you of?  Do you know where this is going and could lead to?  You can read more on this article here - the website has articles written in newspapers all around that may not make it into the public's range of focus.  Course, that focus is somewhat limited if all we are worried about is what Brittney Spears is wearing or not wearing - whichever the case may be.

With the whole terrorist threat...I think we have only ourselves to watch out for.  Look at what we are willing to do to our own people within our own borders!

Where Am I Going With This...

I think it is definitely time to wake up!  I have had some people leave me private messages about "scaring" them when I post about things of this nature and that I should be more upbeat and positive.  I do try to be upbeat and positive but reality is...this stuff is going on!

Have you read your Bible lately?  One only needs to read through the prophecies in the Old Testament and in Revelation (that would be the last book in the New Testament) to understand what exactly is going on.  How many of us skip those parts because we find them too scary?  And this will help you how?  God placed those words in the Bible to help us.  Yes it is scary!  And I am so very thankful that I have Him to rely upon!  It doesn't mean I stand idly by and do nothing.  It does mean I need to be prepared for what is coming up.

I love when people say, "Well I'm going to fly away and be taken up into Heaven."  Umm...yes but you're missing the whole part that has to happen before we are taken up!  Are we reading the same Bibles?  Or did you not want to read that section in your Bible because it was too "scary" to read?!  There are some things we have to go through before any of that flying away takes place.  In the 1800's Darby did a good job at twisting the words of the Bible around.  I will let you look him up.  Read what the Bible says and not what someone wants you to think it says.  As God says, we have itching ears and we want to only hear what we want to and not what He is actually telling us - we are easily redirected.  I know I am stepping on some toes right now but get over it and put your big girl pants on!

Read 2 Thessalonians 2 - Paul says that there are things that must happen first.

Read Revelation 3:10 - God promises this to His true believers.

And while you are in Revelation, check out the six seal - Revelation 6 & 7.

Now, I am no prophet nor am I predicting end times.  I'm simply stating facts that we need to be aware of so that we as wives, mothers and keepers of our homes can prepare for the times we are about to face.  We can no longer hide our heads under the sand.  We need to stand up, take notice and do what we need to be doing!  Quit wasting time on silly things that will mean absolutely nothing in the end.  That doesn't mean that we give up on things that bring us joy but we tend to place those things as priority in our lives and we quickly forget what our priorities should be.  I am guilty of this very thing myself!  I am constantly having to stop, reprioritize and get back on track.

God has given us a job to do Ladies.  Where is our focus right now?  It may be time to look at what our priorities are and in what order we have placed them in.  If you are still hung up on what Sally Sue said about you or did to you ages ago or that you are busy trying to get even with her and/or outdo her in something...well...then...I don't know what to tell ya!

Yes I do but I don't think I need to say anything more on that now do I?!

For those of you who listen to Kay Arthur - did you catch what she said at a recent convention?  Candace posted a review of this conference.  Candace?  I hope you don't mind me linking to you.  I do try to ask beforehand but felt your review something to share and was important.

I think I have said plenty.  This is not to scare you but only to open our eyes.  This is a call to you all to wake up, realize where we are at and what it is that is truly, truly important.

My love to you all - please know that this is a heartfelt post for us all.

xoxo Cat

Great post Cat! You are right, we do need to open our eyes to the truth. And I would like to add... our medical care is turning out to be a huge joke. My baby went to a college hospital where he was pretty much treated like a lab rat. They tried all types of test on him, and it nearly cost him his life.  He had a major brain bleed and is now at risk for CP (thank God he's not showing signs of it as of yet!!) all because of testing they did and not really taking care of him they way they sould have. And then they have the nerve to jump on me for not vaccinating him. The people that say they are going to "fly" out of here drive me crazy. We will indeed suffer a whole lot before that even happens!  I am starting to think we will be here for most of it, who else will try to lead others towards salvation if all of us believers are in heaven.  I believe we will be here till all hope for this earth is lost, and that's when God will come in and save us from it.  Just my 2 cents anyway.  On a lighter note.  We plan on going to the Apple Pie festival!!  Do you guys have a booth set up?  I'd love to meet you in person!  God bless you always, and thank you for posting this! ~Sarah

Catherine, Thank you for loving your readers/friends enough to be honest and forethright.  There are a lot of "not so nice" things going on in the world today and we need to not become indifferent and turn a blind eye.  We are to hear ALL of Gods word, not just what we want to hear.  He does promise to guide us and keep us close to Him but he does not promise a bed of roses.  He simply promises not to abandon us and that we will eventually spend eternity praising Him. Praise Him for his love and for what WILL be!!!

Whooooaaa! I know we all needed that because it is so true that even the Body of Christ has absolutley gotten hard hearted! It is heart breaking for this to be happening but yes.....as Christains we are called to make a diffference. There are alot of churches that I have been to that do not make you feel like you are forgive or for that matter even WELCOME there. If you cannot come before the Body of Christ to get restoration/love/forgiveness and feel that you belong how can we make a difference. It is time for some humbleness before God. Our children need to see us humble before Him. It is hard to do sometimes but thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to guide your "unfluffy puppy" post! I love ya!

Thank you so much for posting and sharing.  Amen, amen, amen!

I've been sensing and seeing the same; no integrity, no care, no regard for human life, it's frightening.  A cousin of ours, she was a nurse in the Houston medical center in one of the best hospitals in the country.  A lady had passed away and our cousin was warming a washcloth to gently clean the lady's face.  The head nurse came in and picked a towel up from the FLOOR to wipe the lady's face!  No dignity or care whatsover.

The article on the vaccines is excellent and what has happened is appalling.  When it comes to government forced vaccines, we say no thank you.  The attitude once again on human life is as if they are playing some cold roulette game with innocent lives.

Thanks for sharing and daring to go out of the fluff zone.

Blessings and appreciation!  xxxooo  ~Amelia

I admit, reading all this DOES put fear in my heart.  However, I quickly confess it to God and know that He is in control. . and I can smile and trust Him.  Yes, I need to be aware, and I need to train my children to VALUE life.  I'm still really confused about vaccines.  I've always had my kids vaccinated. . . .have I been tricked?  I guess it's something to think about.

Amen!   Whew!  you had me all worked up reading this! I was beginning to think that my hsuband and I are the only one who felt this way.   Our country is in a dangerous spot right now...our moral inclinations that we used to have are gone.  How sad.

I am also surprised to hear you speak of the rapture the way you did.  I think that over the last two years I have began listening to the Word on this and I tell ya, it would be nicer to just be swept up but that is not what the Word says.  Thank you for being real about these subject.

By the way, being upbeat and cheerful isn't always what we need.  Thanks for the balance.

Cat, it again brings to mind that odd quote from that "I, Robot" movie, about being the last person on earth to know what is happening defining you as insane.

Every day I read the news and am HORRIFIED by another and another and another thing that overwhelmingly demonstrates the spiral of society. I feel like everyone is walking around with blinders on, and earplugs, and have no idea what is happening because they refuse to see, and they don't want to hear it. As long as the tv comes on, and the cars still drive, and the fast food restaurants are still going, everything is hunky dory. But I do believe people are going to be shaken soon. It is like a "Perfect Storm" is about to happen....food shortages, the value of the dollar spiraling, the constitution being butchered to pieces, the threats of going to war with Iran (God help us), not to mention the horrific legislation that continually works its way onto the books in our nation.....

It brings to mind so many scriptures....like the one about looking at the ant, and seeing how it prepares its stores for the hard times, or the one about people having consciences seared, or mothers against daughters, fathers against sons...

Thank for the link! I have bookmarked it to read again this afternoon.

This is exactly why I have been doing all the "deepening your pantry" posts on my blog. Most people today do not look at what is going on around them and understand the times in which we are living.

I've talked a lot about current situations and where they may be heading with both of my kids. My daughter from a perspective as wife and mother and how we can prepare spiritually and physically (like deepening our pantry as much as we can afford) and with my son, helping him realize he has to keep out of college debt. That is why he is staying in the community college another year instead of immediately transferring to the University.

I used to be reluctant to cause fear in people. Now I realize anyone who has been given a platform to teach (as in blogs, books, etc.) must share what wisdom they have developed and been given from God. You do it the way your teach homemaking skills!

The world is terrifying. The terror, jealousy, hate, and complete disregard for others is why we picked up everything we owned, left the house we had built for us in Las Vegas, and moved back to my small hometown to live around people that still care enough to bend over and pick up a piece of stray trash from the curb. To live around people that still drop by with baked goods to welcome you to the neighborhood. It's so amazing to see that people still have hearts because our several year stay in Las Vegas was terrifying. I was at the Stratosphere when a young man jumped off the top... and heard all about how everyone just watched him go over the side of the building with excitement. I heard the jokes from others inside the building. Jokes about something so horrible and so unnecessary. The worst part of it was that none of it shocked me. Nothing that popped out of anyone else's mouth shocked me because the pain and hate in this world has numbed me from any of it. Oh, I'm glad to be home now in what I refer as the "sheltered box of Minnesota." I'm making myself aware of what's going on around us by watching the news and reading online articles but I know that my children are blessed to be away from it all until they are past this young, impressionable stage in their life. But, I'm so SO scared about what they'll witness and experience once they move out and decide to discover the world on their own. I can only hope that I can teach them morals, values, and love before then. The trust God has put in me to raise respectable and strong young men in this crazy, terrifying world is overwhelming sometimes. Thank you for this post. I have seen all of these stories in the news and sat in complete shock at the lack of heart nowadays... but this post really woke me up to what it means. I am so unprepared.

@Elizabeth - It is scary to let our children "go" into the world as it is but God gave us our children to not only train them up as He would have us do but also to know that although we are not to be a part of this world - we still have to live in it and prepare them for that.  He gave us to our children specifically because He knew we would be the best parents for them and for what they would need as they become adults.

It sounds like you have found a beautiful place to live - we feel we have found the same thing too!  :O)

For being unprepared...little by little and one day at a time.  ;O)

Yes our world become scary , Catherine . Do you know I am sad in watching my own children's behaviour  . They are not at all as expected by the education I tried to give them . They are others , else . But it is so .
But sometimes I think the ambiance should be the same during the French Revolution time and the Napoleon wars , the same during the butchery of the war 1914 - 1918 , Finally Evil is on the heart of man and fights with God who is love . This makes me sad but sometimes I ask myself " did you show the good example related what you taught our children or again you showed the example but you didn' t explain why you asked like that ? I become guilty . But it is too late .I don' t want to make a long speech here and my poor English don' t allow me .
You do better than me and you have the luck to be young with young children and so you teach them by Word and Example .
Catherine I have been occupied this week and I am late in the comments .Yesterday was the Marina Day ( feast of Ste Marina )and we went to the cemetery my wife and I . i am deeply sad . Even if I am a believer this separation is hard for us  The day before we went to an hospital far from our town to visit a freind having a hip replacement .Be sure I am sorry . However I have hust commented your previous posts in which I see the beauty of the Innocence .

@DareMom -

Hi, I'm as well confused about vaccines and I think a lot of people are. It NEVER hurts to read a lot about them but I'm not talking about reading websites and books that won't give the right facts (I think we have plenty of those!) I'm currently reading a book called "The Truth about Vaccines" by Dr (yes a real Doctor) Richard Halvorsen and so far I am enjoying it as an eye opener! I have 2 kids and neither of them are vaccinated but I kept saying "yet"...well, maybe they never will be must finish the book! :)

Cat, thank you for this post! I found your blog through a friend and have been keeping up with it but haven't said anything till now. Anyways, thank you again.

@Evelyn -

As Evelyn mentioned, do some investigation but with open eyes as to where the information is coming from.  In France, I believe, they wait until children are of a certain age before vaccinating.  I think this is a better alternative if you should choose to vaccinate.

Looking at what they put in the vaccines, I find it interesting what it is that God tells us not to do but is done (Old Testament).

We have other alternatives that God made perfectly for us to use but instead we rely on man.  When will we ever learn that lesson?!

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Thank you Catherine for being bold enough to write the truth. You will get your fair share of people wanting to trample you for just saying the truth. Do it anyway! I went to a Baptist church as a child and was taught everything about the "early" rapture of the church. Even as a child I knew that was not at all what the Bible was saying. I feel we are coming against such troubled times and my heart is just as yours...drawn to my home and my family. I want my home to feel peaceful and be as a refuge to my husband and children. I see things just trying to tear us apart and I am just not allowing it in my home. This next February when the TV's all go to digital, we will be without a television. It is going to be an adjustment, but I decided I will NOT have a TV when the government has stepped in and made it law that TV has to a certain digital signal or none at all. Our legislators now make laws creating planned obsolesence for what should be durable goods. They are legislating our light bulbs and our TV signals and I just finally decided I need to step back and think about why our constitution is being trampled and time is wasted by our government in doing such PETTY things really in light of what people are facing. Corrie Ten Boom stated that she felt we should not promise early rapture or easy ways out lest some lost heart in troubled times. Ruth Bell Graham also expressed that she felt we should approach that end times with the attitude that we just may have to live through it. Better to bolster up our faith and learn to endure hard things than to be spiritually and emotionally weak then buckle under when the pressing begins.

I just finished reading Blaine's book "What So Proudly We Hailed" and it has so much in it about loss of our freedoms (items we are now actually seeing take place in small ways, soon to be broader in scope.) It was very thought provoking and I thank him for his time in writing it. I'd like to encourage everyone to get it!

I noted other women commenting here about the deep pantry and wanted to share with you that I spent several months working up to fully stocking my pantry and a deep freezer. I was rotating the items in them regularly. 3 weeks ago someone left the top of the chest freezer open. The motor was running non stop to keep the interior cold and it finally burned out. It got so hot that it set off our fire alarms. I lost every single item in there except a turkey. I even lost all my flour because the last person digging around in there put the bags onto the bottom of the freezer and meat juices leaked into the bags. I felt devastated and prayed about it a good bit because it was a major blow to us financially as well as the wasted time and work that had gone into it. All items in there were bought by saving money other places in the budget and then by only buying excellent deals to put into the freezer. I felt that I was doing right to set all that food aside and the Lord gently dealt with me that I was trying to set it aside by my own might. In doing that I was trusting in my OWN ability to feed us in troubled times. I still believe in having supplies on hand...absolutely. But I wanted to speak to the fact that when it comes down to it, we have to believe that the Lord is able and willing to provide our needs in every circumstance. Scripture does call us to be wise stewards, but I was wrapped up in my own plans and ability to provide instead of fully placing my faith in the Lord to provide. Now I will be getting a new chest freezer and stocking it again but this time will do it prayerfully and with the Lord's help and put less trust in my own might. Hope that makes sense.

Again, thank you for speaking the truth!
