  • Toddlerhood

We just returned home from dinner with some friends.

One couple's 7 year old boy, Billy, was playing games of make believe with Abram.

Billy- "Abram, this is a prehistoric rock.  Don't touch it -- it's fragile. Fragile means that it breaks easily."

Abram- "I got bugs bites" (notice the double plurals)

Billy to me - "Do you think you could stand next to me and tell me what he is saying?  He keeps trying to talk to me and I don't know what he is saying."

Abram to Billy - "Hey Billy, what ya doin'?"

    Billy - "Eating"

Abam - "Hey Billy, what ya doin?"

    Billy - "Eating"

Abram - "Hey Billy, what ya doing?"

(this went on for a while until Billy responded...)

Billy to me - "Could you tell him so stop asking me that, it's getting really annoying.  I am still eating."

oh home is so awesome. we really love being here. we left portland knowing this is where God wants us to be and that we are to be an encouragment to our friends and family. when we heard the news about the wedding we were sad for her but most of all quite proud of the fact that she trusted God to provide. it was nice meeting you finally though. i had heard a lot about you when yvonne first went there to visit you. i would have to say my first impression of you and  your family is that you have created a very strong family. i havent met your husband yet but you guys seem to compliment eachother very well with what i have heard. its really encouraging. im sure you have your married moments like all married couples do where you get stressed out with eachother but it doesnt show, and thats neat. i just wanted to mention to you that, that is what i saw. you both seem like you have a good foundation in God and that you try to do everything in excellence. lastly your kids are awesome. it was nice meeting you
