  • It's Not My Fault I'm Fat!

I got the results back from my blood tests and it turns out my thyroid is acting up.  Which is great because it solves the mystery of why I've gained weight and why I am beyond exhausted all the time even though I am eating a lot healthier.  I just need to take a little pill every day.  I am going to go ahead and get the lump in my throat checked by a specialist but it seems as though everything is going to be alright.  I'm kind of relieved to tell you the truth.  I just want my clothes to fit and to feel good in them.  I weigh just about as much as I did when I was 9 months pregnant with Grace.  I'm not just fat, I'm tired.  I could sleep all day every day which just isn't like me.  I don't feel like doing anything.  It's amazing that I get the things done that I do with how I am feeling.  i guess being in cross-country in high school paid off after all/  I was beginning to think I was so tired and had gained so much weight because I was aging.  I'm just not ready to be old yet.  I admire people that age gracefully but I'm not going down without a fight.

    Thanks for the encouragement.

It's good to hear you got the result than wondering what's wrong or not knowing anything.. Now you know and you can fix it or do something about it..  I hope things will help in the future notice.. :)

I'm so glad you found out a cause. I pray that God will help you heal quickly.

Gotta love magic pills. Glad you feel at ease.

Glad you found out before having to go through scans, aspirations and surgery. You know you're having a bad week when swallowing a radioactive capsule is the best part of the week!

I have hypo-thyroidism, myself.  So I can relate fully to the relief you get when your meds start working and you feel so much better!!

    Praying for you!

You will be amazed when you have energy again how good it feels to get things done!!

After my message to you last night, I lol-ed when I saw the title of this blog!

Sorry to hear about the thyroid acting up again.  I have hypo-thyroidism too.  Not kidding.  It amazes me how many people (women especially) have it.  Thankfully, a wee-little pill seems to keep it in check rather well.

Have a great day and hope there aren't any complications with it.

I had a friend in high school with thyroid problems. She was ridiculously skinny all the time. She didn't know what to do about it, and didn't find out it was her thyroid until she was pregnant. And then, she couldn't take the medicine until after her baby was born. They had to do a C-section because she was too weak to push him out.
Anyway now she's been on regulatory medicine for a few years and looks much better than she ever did. Healthier, you know?

You will be fine! Chin up! Gorgeous.

Thyroid problems seem to plague a lot of us when we hit our thirties I am noticing... I never did stop being exhausted though... I hope your medication works for you!

    Have a great day! Ang

I felt certain your thyroid was acting up just from the things you said when you posted about your symptoms!  I am glad that they found the cause of your tired-ness!  It is really amazing all of the things that a goofed up thyroid can mess up in your body.

Hope you will soon be feeling much better!!!

  • illgrindmyownthankyou

ditto on the hypothyroidism - you will be amazed at how much you will feel like yourself in no time.

i'm glad you finally know what is wrong.  i have a friend at work that has to take a pill everyday.  she says it actually makes her mood swings better too.  i had my thyroid checked a while back as well because that seems to be all i do as well... eat and sleep and rest and rest some more.  but the doctor said my problem was the caffine and heart palpitations and only that.  it's hard to get up energy when you can't have caffine anymore.  i try to have a little anyway...  i just can't get up and go without it.

  • pseudoecho

i'm glad you know what the problem is and can begin treatment to take care of it.  i hope all works out, as i am sure it will.  yer in my thoughts.

thank you for your comment!  i get such odd looks from people when they hear i am getting married but um, no ring on my finger.  well, that's not the case no mo'!!  =)

    feel better soon, hon!

hmmm... you have the thyroid issue for being fat. I don't have a thyroid problem. I have an eating disorder, which was brought on by severe abuse (emotional and sexual) Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder. I've been seeing a nutritionist, getting exercise, eating healthier, and just embracing a healthier lifestyle all the way around. I've lost 4 inches off my waist in the past month. I refuse to have a scale in my home because both my daughter and i get obsessed with the scale. I'm doing this not just for myself but for my children. My youngest son's cholesterol is in the 300's. My other 2 children's and my own cholesterol is borderline high. All of our good cholesterol is very low. Two of my children have eating disorders. I must lead by example. Are your children learning from your example living this healthier lifestyle?

CrimsonWings don't waste your time and energy on a woman who thinks you are going to hell for your spiritual beliefs. Personally I think karma's a a very wrathful bitch and maybe Jen is just getting what she's dished out three fold. The law of three remember CrimsonWings.

  • EternalCrimsonWings

    LadyV,

While it is true that Jen and I walk different spiritual paths, she has been nothing but polite and cordial to me. I genuinely care about other people, and when they are hurting, or sick, I do send out healing energy to them. I pray for them, asking the Goddess to watch over them, and bless them. I am a firm believer in Karma, and I believe that we draw towards us, exactly that which we radiate and send out. (Our thoughts, become our words, and our words become our actions) I don't feel that sending out something positive to the Universe is ever a waste, for it always comes back to me three fold. If my it should please my Goddess, and she would bless Jens life, and the lives of those she loves, there is nothing wasted, and again, the law of return... I only have to gain, that which I have sent Jens way, which is blessings of good health, happiness and peace. I believe it is the grace and goodness that we show to one another that speaks VOLUMES about out our spirituality, and what's in our hearts. I hope that my life, my actions, are a beautiful reflection of that which I hold sacred.

In reality, I do fall short daily of this, but I remain optimistic and hopeful and strive each day to do my very best.

Be blessed, always my Sister Witch.

CrimsonWings... you appear to be trying to be the do-gooder witch that's trying to bring a positive light to Paganism and Witchcraft and trying to score brownie points on your Karma card. People like Jen and her husband only see people like you and me as evil witches because all witches are evil and do satan's work. Back in the day people like Jen and her husband would string us both up for Witchcraft. I take a Levayian Satanist approach when dealing with people... I do not bother sending goodness and light to those who do not deserve it... if someone "slaps" me on the cheek, I will "SMASH" them on their cheek. Tis the way it is in nature. I would figure a witch like you would understand the balance of "light" and "dark" within Nature. People like Jen and her husband would never do a damn good thing to you or me except to show "the light of Jesus" within them so that a "seed may be planted in your heart" so that one day you may be "saved" by the blood of Jesus. CrimsonWings, I used to be just like Jen and her husband. Their kindness and politness is fake. But hey, you are a big girl Crimson, to each their own. Continue to kiss the Christian ass to "prove" that Witchcraft isn't evil and to score those brownie karma points. Good luck with that. BTW Crimson... I'm not anyone's sister... I'm an only child. Family is a serious thing to me. I do NOT call anyone my brother or sister just because we have similar religions. So do not ever call me your sister again.

  • EternalCrimsonWings

    Lady V,

I say this kindly, so I hope you'll take no offense. Why would I choose to allow anyone to see the WITCH in me in a negative light? Why would I choose to draw negative attention to my chosen path, the Pagan Path? How is that condusive to promoting a better understanding of who and what I am? I fail to see the point in doing so. I am not out to "win" the approval of anyone, least of Christians who for the most part do in fact see me as damned. However, I AM a living, breathing example of the Goddess I love and serve. To bring shame, or disgrace to her is something I would not wish to do, but that is "my" personal choice of how to live my life, and am thankful that I live in a country where I am free to make that choice and live my life freely as I am. I do not feel the world is "out to get me" becuase of my belief system or any other reason. I am a firm believer in leading by example, and it has been my experience that what lies within the heart of a human being, radiates from them, and is very easy to see and feel. If one has "ugly" energy, then there is a reason for it. There is something ugly within, or clinging to them. Balance is, very important in the grand scheme of things. For without it, our lives are complete chaos. Again, a person who is balanced on every level.. mind, body and spirit radiates that balance. When one is off kilter, it is usually but not always a little more than obvious. It is important for people to be conscious of Karma, and to be mindful of what they send out into the Universe. It always, comes back home.

I will share something with you, and I hope you don't mind. I have been richly blessed in my life, and shown much kindness not too terribly long ago when I left my abusive husband, for a better, happier life for my children and I. When I didn't know how I was going to feed them, becuase I knew NOTHING of this "system" that apparently those around me all knew how to "milk" it was a group of Christians, mostly women who stepped up without being asked and made sure that my sons didn't go hungry becuase I wasn't getting child support from their father, and were VERY good to us. (Something that shall NEVER be forgotten!) They were, in my humble opinion true examples of what their fath is supposed to represent. For no reason at all they took a sincere, and genuine concern for me as well as my children. Never once trying to force their beliefs off on me, and I will, for the rest of my days be grateful for their kindness. Sadly, I have been  demonized by MOST of the Christians I come in contact with, but again... it is usually by ignorance that they judge me the way they do. Yes, some are full of hate, no differently than a person of any other faith that chooses to "hate" another because they are different and follow different beliefs from their own. What can I do about it? Nothing really, just go on, living my life the way I do, and always have and remain optimistic that they too will find enlightenment. One can only hope.

Yes Lady V, I believe you may be right in that clearly, you and I are not sisters, and I thank you for pointing that out to me. I appreciate you taking the time to express your feelings and share with me. I have learned a bit about you in these short couple of comments. Thank you!  I hope you have a most peaceful weekend!

May you and yours be blessed, always.

    ~Namaste

Crimson, for someone who has been subscribed to my Xanga for a while now, I would have thought you knew these things about me already. *rollseyes* Guess now I know that you never truely read what you subscribe to.

  • EternalCrimsonWings

    Lady V,

You are right, I never really did read your site regularly. I would stop by from time to time and read a little, and leave you a comment now and then. I don't spend a great deal of time online, being a single mom, with 2 still very young children. My job and family keeps me very busy, and most of the time I'm too tired to spend much time online. I'm sure you can appreciate that one!  : ) Thank you for pointing out that I was still subscribed to your site.   May your day be filled with happiness and peace, blanace and love!

LMAO! Crimson, I'm hurt... you unsubbed from me and now have a friendslock?! What's wrong. Was I just an "internet sister witch" to you just because I associated myself as a Pagan? Learn to get to know your "Xanga friends" before subbing and accepting them as an online friend. CrimsonWings is what we in the Pagan community call "love, light, & harmony fluff bunny Pagans." Such pagans don't care much for Pagans like me, ones who accept the good and evil with and refuses to stifle either. It's kind of like when Southern Baptists complain and make fun of Catholics and Methodists for their "strange" doctrines and theologies. Guess none of us can really get alone... unless we become fake and kiss eachother's asses.

  • EternalCrimsonWings

    Good evening LV!

I've had friends lock since Jan 2007. It was not turned on because of you, I assure you.

I say this kindly but it appears you have a great deal of anger within you LV, in that you appear to be looking for "fight." I'm not sure why exactly, but it also appears you enjoy attacking people and being extremely mean spirited. It's rather sad actually. Perhaps you're going through something on a personal level that has you out of sorts? Perhaps that wasted energy could be better used to do something positive, either for yourself or another human being. Maybe some lavender tea would help you to relax, and find a more peaceful state of mind.  I find lavender tea very relaxing and enjoy it before I meditate and make my morning devotions/prayers to the Goddess. Just a suggestion...

May you find peace and harmony, within and around you. Always.

    ~Namaste

Crimson you have more in common with fanatical fundamentalist christians than I ever realized. Fanatical fundies tell those who are not in agreement with them that they'll be praying for them because it appears that there is a lot of sin in their lives that makes them angry and bitter. Here are you, a "love, light, & harmony fluffy bunny pagan" telling me things about myself that you know nothing about all because I do not agree with you. You make "fluffy bunny" suggestions to me as though it will solve all my problems. You are a fundie fluffy bunny pagan. LMAO! It's really quite funny. Now I truely understand why you and Jen are so very polite to one another exchanging such plesant healing energies with one another... You both live in fucking never never land. LMAO! Wow! Thanks for the laugh, I needed it! Really I did.
