Your cultural lesson for today: Aubrey Beardsley.
Beardsley was an illustrator belonging to the Art Nouveau period. He did illustrations for my favorite writer, Oscar Wilde and my favorite composer, Frederic Chopin. It's no surprise that I would be infactuated with his work as well. And being the true artist that he is, Beardsely contributed nicely to an artist's reputation of living an unconventional lifestyle, i.e. he was a flaming homosexual (one of his possible lovers was Wilde) and allegedly committed incest with his sister.
