OCTOBER: Month of the Holy Rosary
October is the month of the Holy Rosary. In all Her appearances at Fatima, Portugal, the Blessed Mother repeatedly emphasized the importance of praying the Rosary daily and performing acts of reparation and sacrifice. Our Lady of Fatima requested the solemn public Consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart by the Pope and all the Catholic bishops of the world.

FEASTDAY: Guardian Angels
http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/saintgak.htm
FYI - Today the Church wishes to celebrate a particularly lovable revelation of divine providence, namely, that God has ordained for each one of us a special guardian angel who accompanies us through life from the cradle to the grave. The feast not of ancient origin, but since its introduction it has become very popular. It appeared first in Spain during the 16th century; Paul V in 1608 permitted it ad libitum on the first ferial day after the feast of St. Michael; in 1670 it was extended to the universal Church and made obligatory.
Bless the Lord, all you angels of the Lord. Sing his glory and praise for ever. (Dn 3:58)
See that you despise not one of these little ones for I say to you, that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. - Matthew 18:10

Come Holy Spirit
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
