• I promised this a while ago and just yesterday we lost one of our Irish Knights.

  Truly an individual  who lived by the sword and died by the sword.  A fighter in Irish politics,  challenged in physical height  he still towered above the rest.  He helped in the development of the Tiger economy which many Irish people enjoy today.
  
  His famous "tighten our belts" speech,  no doubt will be remembered as a moment when the tide turned for Ireland.
