• Ireland V Iraq

   

  Tonight,  Dublin city will come alive...  not with the living dead... with explosives...  as with every halloween night here,  thousands of children  line the streets in some of the weirdest costumes ever to be seen.  Smuggling bags of explosives as they go.. wandering from house to house  trying to "help the halloween party"  = "trick or treat"...   

  Shortly after or around this time,  huddled in back alley's,  with wet matches  and lighters that no longer work...  armed with  rockets, bangers and different assortments of foreign fireworks. One doesn't need to be able to read japanese to set off a firework.

  One just needs a little steely nerve

  And so it begins,  a rumbling popping,  with distant thud's  and flashes occasionally overheard.....  for five hours... even if its raining.

   

  Its 5pm in Dublin...  its about to start ....   I better get my camera..
