Winter wonderland

Wishing Well

see relatedIt's been snowing for 12 hours...that's 12 hours of snow on top of 3 feet of snow we aleady have outside our door! It's up to our windowsills now, and the forecast is for 10 more days of snow. Michael's tractor & snowblower took one look and refused to move. He had to dig it out just to get it back into the shop! So we are royally snowed in! We hope that the gentleman whose name was recommended to us will be able to get here with his plow and rescue us later this afternoon. Michael estimates that he'll have to snowblow twice a day after we're plowed out just to keep up. Not that I wouldn't love an excuse not to go to work and stay warm & cozy in our office here at home and write. Hmmm...10 days of snow, hot cocoa, and writing Young Master Darcy. Sounds pretty good!
So, you may wonder, what about power? Well, we did have an outage this morning, but we were back up in 2 hours. Not so for many in Spokane, from the news report. We did have to go out and clear the satellite dishes, 1 for internet and 1 for TV. After all, Mansfield Park is on tonight and that can NOT be missed!
So, until next time when we've dug out from what is now about 4 feet of snow, thus endeth the blog...

Here in Little Rock, we had just a little bit of freezing rain on Friday; you would not believe how much of the city shut down! You are made of tougher stuff than we are--at least when it comes to cold weather.
ooh, i am enjoying young master darcy... it's smashing! ;) thanks for sharing it! what a treat!
wow!! *that* is snowed in!!
I stumbled back on the website after being away for so long, and what a treat!! Young Master Darcy is terrific and now I can't wait to read more. Reminds me of when I stumbled on part of "These Three Remain" online and spent a couple hours glued to my screen. I have read those three books so often I could almost quote them. Thank you for writing such wonderful stories. You and Susan Kaye have inspired me to write an imagined backstory for Mr. Knightley from Emma in my own computer. It will probably go nowhere (especially after I have a baby later this year) but to immerse myself in this world and these lives is a great escape for me from all the sadness in this world. I won't write too much, but only to let you know you have a devoted fan here in North Carolina, and I look forward to reading more wonderful stories from your little corner of the world.
Hi Pamela,
I found your blog through Susan Kaye's Xanga...I absolutely LOVE your Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman trilogy...I hope Georgiana gets her own book someday. :)
