John Adams
A few post ago I put a video up about Shelby Foote, a historian in my opinion that many can not only gain information and wisdom from but also a certain kind of inspiration about America and humanity in general.
David McCullough is another one of those historians in my opinion.
Has anyone been watching this series? I haven't because I don't have HBO but I can't wait to watch them when they come out on DVD.

Ah! How fascinating! I've always enjoyed reading about the American Revolution, but I've never actually seen a movie about it. Is this going to be in theaters?
RYC: All I had to do was read the first few words of your last post to realize that it didn't sound like something you would say and actually mean at all, and so I figured right away that there was more to your post than what was being said.
I've been called a "radical" for wearing a peace sign and for banning meat for a month. WHY?
I would love to see this will have my daughter tape it. Judi
I may have to take the plunge and get HBO, they seem to have a lot of really good stuff.
I don't have HBO either. Hah. Looks good though.
I wait till things come out on DVD and then get them through Netflix...quality history!!
PBS > HBO.
Ryc: I did not write that quote but yes words have great power the power of atomic bombs. Words can destroy people and worlds. Judi
It took thoughts to create an atom bomb and probably quite a few words. How do you think it became manifest. Judi
Paul Giamatti is pure brilliance.
The miniseries is amazing.
Atom bombs begin with thoughts, that create words, which create actions like making the atom bomb. So words are part of the process in making a bomb that can destroy worlds. Love you Wes, Judi
