A long and random post.

Christie doesn't like my alarm clock. I am aware of the fact that this is a remarkably random comment with which to begin a post, but I assure you that there is method in my madness...or something like that. Her alarm begins with a soft chiming, and repeats the chimes, getting progressively and insistently louder until she awakens and...hits the snooze button. In my room a short distance away, I try to ignore it, but it doesn't work. I've finally learned to keep my door closed and get up a bit before she does. For a contrast, whene my alarm goes off, it is a loud, prompt, annoying beep, beep, beep. I usually wake up within the first thirty seconds, switch it off and back on (it kills the noise and makes sure that it will recommence the next morning), stumble back to bed, and think about getting up for the next thirty minutes. (No, I'm not entirely serious about that last bit. It depends on what I've got to get done.)

We went camping this weekend. The Poussons arrived Friday, so we tossed their suitcases into the trailer, piled into the van, piled back out to grab books, piled back in, waited while everyone else got ready, piled out for fresh air, piled back in...I'm kidding. We ate lunch and hit the road. Saturday, it rained, so we watched movies, read, talked, and watched more movies. It was a singularly lazy day. Sunday and Monday were spent at the beach, and Monday (after swimming), we came home. Today, we met the Gilmores and picked blueberries with them. It was horribly hot, so I'm now posting while cooling off. Presently, I shall grab a snowball and hit the pool (with the snowball inside me.) Isn't summer wonderful?

And Sarah, I've been planning to post a short story, but there's always something else to post. Eventually, you will probably be allowed to evaluate my poor efforts...possibly the day after tomorrow.

lol!  Well, I must admit, I'm afflicted with upleasant memories of my brother's alarm clock as well, so I do sympathize.  His is just like your sister's...and I'm a light sleeper!:mad:lol

Thank you for the encouraging comment!  It's generally a good thing to hear that what I share with others is supported by their parents.  Have an awesome day!
