First day arrived in Madison?

Woke up @ 2pmnt out for a walk with host mom's friend BJ, met 2 French ppl who had also just arrived and finding their way~ interesting chat with them...then walked to lakeside and zoo that's near the house…seeing the huge lake is frozen and can even ice-skate on dkiwesome~~ and polar bears staying outdoor which would be kept in air-conditioned rooms in zoos in Asia...that's really interesting!! then took a ride with BJ around campus, back home for dinner...then went to grocery store with host dad?back home and went to bed at around 12

First day of orientation~

Woke up @ 7:30, host mom gave me a ride to take english placement test @ 9:00…there were only around 20 new international students...fewer than I had expected~ afterwards, walked around campus by myself...had lunch at caf? then went to ISS orientation...befriended a Korean girl who turned out to be the same major as me!! took the bus home by myself @ 4:00~ then went to host dad's mom's house for dinner...she's already 88 yrs. old but still look so really healthy!!~

**it's been really hard for me to get on internet lately...so pls. pardon me for not being online a lot lately~

**due to the unusual warmness of the weather this year...it's actually not as cold as I had expected!! =)
**feeling kinda overwelmed by this huge and extended university...hope i can get used to it soon!!
