Today for lunch/dinner, Dalip made some stuffed parathas. Click on this link and you can see what they are. Instead of stuffing them with potatoes, he stuffed them with onions. I ate mine with yogurt and an Indian pickle. Mmmmm good!

No matter how strong, bold and “manly” we like to think we are—all of us are often . . .

LIKE SHEEP

A friend of mine was talking about a summer he spent in the mountains of Montana working with a herd of sheep. Let’s hear him in his own words:

“I was about sixteen that summer” he said, “and when my friend’s father asked us both to spend a couple of weeks with him tending sheep, we accepted. It was an opportunity to ride through the hills on a horse, to hunt, to fish, and to just be part of the great outdoors.

“I’ll never forget that summer. I had loved sheep before, but now I appreciate them even more. For one thing, they needed us. But more than that, they loved us. In a way, those sheep were like children. As long as we were around, everything was all right. But if they couldn’t see us, they became uneasy and frightened.

“One night we had the flock all bedded down in a little clearing in the forest, and we were asleep ourselves. Suddenly we heard the sheep milling around. Then they began to bleat in fear. The sheepherder knew there must be a bear nearby. So he got up and just walked among the flock, simply talked to them, assuring them. . . .And in just a few minutes the sheep settled down. I was deeply impressed. Although that sheepherder was just a very common man, the sheep knew he loved them. And they responded totally to his love.”

Shipmate, I think at times we all feel like sheep: frightened, uneasy, panicky. But when the Shepherd speaks to us, everything’s alright. We know His voice. We trust Him. We love Him. And our fears subside.

Hello Carolyn, I am sorry to take your time but I have an urgent prayer request. I ask that you pray for Gary, the owner of www.xanga.com/strong_in_his_name

His site has come under attack by one whose every fiber of his being is filled with Satanic hatred of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The attacker has a poser site called www.xanga.com/JesusHatesLiberals where he is going around causing fights with patriots and Christians while posing as a patriot and a Christian himself.

But his home site where he spews most of his hatred is www.xanga.com/misanthrope91776

This is a serious call to all prayer warriors. It is rare that I have personally come across someone with so much hatred in their heart.

I have a full expose' of this person on my site.

God bless you for allowing me this time.

I am The Sword of Truth

God's love for you is Measureless and strong So many people have no knowledge of the loving, personal God that calls Their name. Be reminded today of how very much God loves you. Carry that Knowledge in your heart in a fresh way and be amazed by it. Give it Away to those in your path.

Yes Carolyn, we have sung "Wondrous Love" many times in church...I love the old hymns, they are so rich in gospel and Truth, I don't want them to ever go away but I do like contemporary Christian music too...bring out the Nazarene in you?  I trust that is a good thing, haha....a good Christian brother of mine in KC was a music editor at the Nazarene Publishing House and he called me his favorite Italian singer!!

I must tell you that this post made an impression on me as I paraphrased the Isaiah 53 verse to you....I went to that chapter and read it through and felt led to post it so I give you the credit for planting that seed in my heart to do it!

Be Blessed Today,

Mike

This reminds me of a story...

When my ex left me and we were going thru a divorce, he took the kids and fled to Hawaii. A year after he went to Hawaii, I went to Hawaii to get my kids back. I saw my kids at a park w/ my Father in law. I saw a lot of fear in his eyes. I assured him I wasn't going to do anything stupid, but I could FEEL his fear and see his fear in his eyes.

When my ex showed up, my former father in law's whole demeanor changed, it was almost as if he thought everything would be fine, "his son" was there. - I get this same Feeling w/ the Lord.

Nice post! Blessings to you!

- Kerrie

Plain yogurt mixed with a little water so it wouldn't be so thick...salt, pepper,  roasted ground cumin, and we added grated zucchini (or you can put in grated cucumber). It was yummy.  ~Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,

I always enjoy these good hymns when I stop by.  I appreciate your music so much.  I personally would like to get the Gaither's Vocal Band on my site, but I don't know how to do this, so I just enjoy others.  Anyway, I'm glad to know Christ as Savior and to know His voice when He speaks.  As long as we follow His voice we will never be led astray.  I hope you feeling just fine.  I spoke to Hazie and she said you were a very sweet person.

Be blessed,

Joe
