The Concerned Savior
The Lord knows all about us and cares for each one of us. Jesus Christ gave us this assurance when He said, “Not one sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t worry! You are more valuable to Him than many sparrows.” (Matt. 10:29-31 LB)
We are valuable to our Father. Just as your own child is priceless to you, you are priceless to God. Jesus didn’t say it was just the sparrows who sang beautifully that the Father sees. He sees them all—just as He sees all of us. He doesn’t choose special people to bless. He wants to bless each of us, because He loves us. In fact, He loves us so much that He paid the highest price to redeem us: He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)
What great love! Jesus Christ was willing to die to become the eternal sacrifice for sin. Because of Him we can have forgiveness. If you are still searching for Someone to show you the way of life, turn to Jesus today—He alone is that way. His Word is truth. His gift to you is eternal life.
Jesus knows our sorrows. He was called “The Man of Sorrows”, yet He came to bring joy. This is not a paradox when you consider it. For what real joy and relief there is in knowing your sins are forgiven! The guilt is gone forever. Freedom beyond compare takes its place.
Because Christ came to bear the sins and sorrows of the world, He knows your sadness. That ache down deep in your heart—the one you can’t talk about or explain away. Christ already knows. And He wants to lift that burden of sorrow from your shoulders. His Word says, “Cast all your cares on Him, for He careth for you.” I Peter 5:7
Jesus also knows each failure that we have. He knew what it was to be rejected. When He began His ministry, people said to Him. “Why that’s just the son of Joseph the carpenter. Who does he think He is?” Even after three glorious years of ministry, Christ was ultimately betrayed by Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve.
If you have been neglected by your family, betrayed by a partner, or rejected by someone you love, talk to Jesus about it. He alone understands the bitter lump of pain you carry. His love can melt it away and fill up your life. Just as a gentle rain washes away dust and dirt to make a sparkling new world for us—so that flow of the Spirit can cleanse the hurt in our heart and awake us to a new day of love.
Jesus also knows and is concerned about our health. By His coming He provided healing for us. When He walked the avenues of this earth, He touched people and raised them up from sickbeds. A whole host of people were renewed physically, restored to health by the healing touch of Jesus. Can’t you hear them now?
The little lady who touched the hem of His garment, blind Bartimaeus, Jarius’ daughter, the Gadarene demoniac. On and on the list goes.
Yes, the touch of Jesus Christ changes lives completely. He knows and cares about every aspect of our lives. Do you have problems with illness? Jesus wants to help you. Believe in His healing touch.
If mental pressures are building up, let Jesus give you release. He alone can bring you peace of mind and a good night’s rest.
When temptations threaten your moral fiber, remember, “Greater is He that is within you than he this is in the world.” I John 4:4. You don’t have to give in . . . Jesus Christ will help you overcome.
Finally, He knows about your spiritual condition. We may delude people, but God looks on our heart. He sees the things which are hidden from man’s eyes. Confess these things to Him and learn to live in the purity and freedom of God’s care. Your life will be completely and wonderfully changed.
