The strongest, most mature Christians I have ever met are the most hungry for God. It might seem that those who eat the most would be the least hungry. But that’s not the way it works with an inexhaustible fountain, and an infinite feast and a glorious Lord.

When you take your stand on the finished work of God in Christ, and I begin to drink at the River of Life and eat the Bread of Heaven, and know that you have found the end of all your longings, you only become more hungry for God.  --John Piper

Take my life and let it be,

 Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;

Take my hands and let them move

At the impulse of Thy love,

 At the impulse of Thy love.

Take my feet, and let them be

Swift and beautiful for Thee;

Take my voice, and let me sing,

Always, only for my King,

Always, only for my King.

Take my will, and make it Thine,

It shall be no longer mine;

Take my heart, it is Thine own;

It shall be Thy royal throne,

It shall be Thy royal throne.

--Frances R. Havergal

Are you ready?

Wonderful truth, beloved sister...How many times I have been blessed by the anointed words of John Piper!  Thanks for sharing them as well as that wonderfl, wonderful hymn!  While I love praise choruses, I have been singing a lot of hymns lately.  Surpise me by dropping by my house and you will hear me singing!  hehee  Oh, yes, and I am the one at the red light who is singing her lungs out! hehee  Love ya dearly...Paula

I have recently been studying the "bread of life" in relationship to communion. I'm trying to wrap my mind around what Jesus intended when he talked about remembering him when the disciples gathered. I don't think there's a wrong way to remember him per se, but I do think we as "Christians" try pretty hard sometimes to screw it up.

ryc I have seen "Witness".  I like most of his movies.  I do agree with the woman quoted though.  Celebreties (sp?) don't care about me I won't care about them.  Too much.     ryp  Good thought and good song.

That was a well done clip....

ABout the PETA thing...I'm not advocating for abusing or hurting animals...personally for me, I can never hurt an animal for fun...

I just think these guys have a too crazy elevated view of animals which result in all kinds of weird bizarre incident

Yes, she saw the poem & liked it. I liked it too! :o) (It was her m-i-l's 80th birthday) :o)

She still has her site as well. She decided to keep it after she said she was going to delete it.

God Bless...
