Enduring Faith
by Ken Abraham
If God has placed a dream in your heart, do not give up. Be diligent. Endure even in the dungeons of life.
Our generation knows little about endurance; we are so accustomed to instant gratification. Endurance does not mean, “I’ll just hang in there until Jesus comes.” Endurance means, “I believe that what God said He would do, He will, in fact, do!” Endurance means that you can say with the ancient prophet Habakkuk,
“Though the fig tree should not blossom, and there be no fruit on the vines, though the yield of the olive should fail, and the fields produce no food, though the flocks should be cut off from the fold, and there be no cattle in the stalls, yet I will exalt in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God if my salvation. The LORD GOD is my strength, and He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, and makes me walk on my high places.” Habakkuk 3:17-19.
That is what endurance is all about!
Your days of preparation may even now be nearing an end. The delay you have endured has not been an accident, but was according to His plan and for His purposes. Soon the Lord will be standing outside your dream or the vision He has given you, and you will hear, “Come forth!”
Perhaps you have been a friend of Jesus’ for a long time, but recently you feel you have been spiritually dead, a form wrapped in the grave clothes of doubt, discouragement, depression and disillusionment. Today, hear His voice as He speaks to you, “My child, come forth!”
Please remember to pray:
