| | PART 2 OF 3
|
I was employed as a secretary in a local independent bank when I got married. One of my favorite customers, Jim, attended our wedding. I loved him like a brother. One afternoon, upon my return to work, he stopped by my desk to chat. During the course of our conversation, he mentioned that he never knew I had ‘religious’ training in my background. Well, I found out that he did also, but he wasn’t living for the Lord either. I was so happy! Jesus shone through at our wedding! God is faithful!
Jim told me that he was raised Pentecostal. He then proceeded

to tell me the following story.
One of his brothers fought in the Army during WWII and was captured by the Germans and placed in a concentration camp. The hope of ever getting out alive was nil, but he had a praying momma. The Word of God declares in James 5:16, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
I don’t know the timeline or other details, but Jim’s brother did make it out alive. When he was home, one day his mother asked him about something in the cell he had occupied.

The brother was shocked at the question and asked her how she knew that since there was never any communication between them. This little mother held her son in constant prayer and the Holy Spirit allowed her to see in the Spirit where he was and what he had. She knew everything about him and his cell. Never underestimate the power of prayer! One of my favorite verses is 1 Peter 5:7 ~ Let Him have all your worries and cares for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.
God is faithful!
** On Thursday's post, I will tell you what happened to Jim. **
