The following is an update on Kevin from his Aunt Clare. She drives down to see Kevin and be with his mother EVERY Tuesday. Clare also bakes dozens of cookies, which she gives to the nurses on Kevin's floor when she visits him.

"Kevin looked very good on Tuesday. He did not seem as uncomfortable as he was the week before. Possibly because he did not have the respirator in his mouth any more and had a tracheotomy. He also is able to suction the saliva out of his mouth himself. The staff gave him a tube similar to the ones dentists use. When his mouth fills with saliva he can use it to clear it from his mouth. Sometimes, however, there is fluid in his lungs that he has to cough out and that is very uncomfortable. The staff will then suction his lung out and that is painful for him.
Kevin is smiling more, especially when the cute, young nurses are talking to him. It is funny to see him with his lopsided smile. At times, he seems down but I told him that he is making progress and that many people are praying for him and that he will recover, it will just take time. He still needs prayers. No decision has been made about his ability to walk. Thank you for all the prayers and please keep them up so he will continue to make progress and walk again. He has gotten this far because of all the prayers being said for him. He still has a long way to go.
Gratefully, Clare"
