I've been hanging out with a half dozen Mustangs and a couple Saleens today, and learning random interesting facts about enhancing their power. But what in the world is an "X pipe"?

I hope Food Lion is still in business and functioning properly, because it's no thanks to me if they are. I was definitely an agent of chaos in there this afternoon. I couldn't seem to pick up a box or a carton like a normal person. To pick up one item I had to knock all its neighbors onto the floor or shelf, and completely miss the object I was originally going for. I scare myself sometimes.

I'm finding out about trials and juries from Eddie. I had no idea it was as involved as it is, or required so much paperwork. Did you know that for every trial 150 potential jurors are contacted?  And after the county sends out the letters, the lawyers can go look up the recipients and find out their age, voter registration and street address? Then, when the 20 or 30 something people who didn't manage to get excused show up, they randomly pick twelve names out of a box, and the judge asks them questions, the lawyers ask them questions, and each lawyer has eight chances to remove a juror for no stated reason? When the plaintiff is satisfied, the defense has a go at them, and then back to the plaintiff, until they're both satisfied.

That was all news to me. I'm not even nineteen, so I have no personal experience with the process.

Anyway, remind me never to work for a lawyer. There's no such thing as too many books, but there is assuredly such a thing as too much paper.

Anyway, I'm dead. I was up at quarter to six and I ran today. Time to sleep. Goodnight!

[corrected in accordance with Eddie's further information! apologies! :) ]

actually, karoline, you don't know anything about the jurors untill after they are selected by the county, who then sends the letters, and then after that you get the jury lists, and then you can look them up.
