Yes, and the hastiest words are the ones that dog me the worst, snapping and nipping. . .

Sometimes it's the words that demand to be written that hunt me down and threaten to strangle me until I get them out on paper. And sometimes those very words, at that critical moment, turn into fickle butterflies that flit away in all directions, leaving me to stand gaping as they flash into the empty sky.

Yes! Foreign words have a tendency to do that more often, though. Especially those long Latin words. *runs from huiuscemodi* =)

yeah - when I was reading the article that John co-authored about the conference he went to, the word "technology" kept threatening me. So did "la longua duree" (or something). But I fought back!

I'm not sure what you mean by that..sometimes a word will get stuck in my head, and I'll just repeat it to myself over and over and over again until it loses any meaning, only the sound remains. I haven't noticed any pattern about what kind of word is more likely to do that to me.

Karoline, Emily has several recipes for it, she googled it last night, and found two that weren't too complicated.  Then, she saw a really easy peasy one on the small container of the mascarpone cheese so she wrote that one down and wants to try it next.  You both should make it and do a 'virtual' taste test.

Karoline, I have been haunted by halcyon, the adjective not the noun, for about six weeks now.  It's quite interesting.
