My last graduate school audition is this afternoon at Meredith. It's also my last obligation as an undergraduate piano major. I'm almost starting to believe the end is approaching.

Tomorrow, among many other things, such as starting to research a paper that's due in two weeks, I'm hunting through the library stacks for a copy of Chopin's Barcarolle. I've been hungering for Chopin for two whole years! and I may not have time to practice new music, but I intend to anyway. Besides, I'm not ready to give up lessons with Dr. McKee yet, or forgo sitting under his words of wisdom. He has the right word for every season.

Dr. McKee: Are you feeling better?
Me: Yes! It's actually pleasant to be alive.
Dr. McKee: Rather than just annoying?

Exactly.

The clock is telling me that I won't get lunch if I don't get it now. I'm off.

The end is approaching... the end is approaching...

*doesn't know whether to cry or celebrate*

*decides to do neither and just read the history book*
