The LORD has done great things for us, whereof we are glad. Psalm 126:3

I've been thinking during the past several weeks about how good God is, and how many things He's done for me exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or imagine. I never had time to worry about the next step after I graduated from college. Spring of my junior year I was offered a job as a music teacher, with a schedule I could manage while double-majoring, and which entirely changed my attitude towards teaching. Less than a year later I was offered another job, in a wonderful setting where I can learn from teachers I highly respect and meet musicians from all over the state. My boyfriend and wonderful friend, Evan, wasn't a Christian four years ago, and now he's not only been saved by the grace of God, but he's grown in such ways that he leads me, teaches me, and ceaselessly encourages me in prayer, in diligence, in perseverance, in goodness, and in the study of the Word. Three years ago I didn't even think about wanting such a thing to happen. Two years ago I occasionally thought how storybookish, how fairytale-ish, how impossible it would be. One year ago I ridiculed myself for considering it in my wildest dreams. And God did it, though I was afraid to pray for it; and He did it astoundingly, abundantly beyond what I imagined.

If these are things He's done that I didn't ask for, how will He answer the prayers I do pray?

Whoever is wise will observe these things,
And will understand the lovingkindness of the LORD. Psalm 107:43

Dear K, I was moving about the country back around the time when you turned 22, and I completely missed sending you well-wishes, etc. So here they are now.

*dumps boatload of well-wishes on K's doorstep*

I love you. Happy belated Birthday, caramissa. :)

That must be it. I've been masquerading as a homeschooler just so I could eat crackers on the couch!
