| | Well, as y'all know, I'm naturally very shy and just need to be reassured every day that I have friends and family that love me, and I'm usually upstairs playing the guitar by myself when I'm not doing school or sleeping...right? Nu-uh. Nopers, not me. Unlike the stereotype homeschooler, I am blessed with so many friends and acquaintances that it would be fruitless trying to count them all. In fact, I even went to a camp-out a few weeks ago with my church and was so unsocialized as to be a quarterback and pick my own team members. Yes sirree, I am socially inept, I am friend-deprived, I am needing SERIOUS help. =D Lol, what would life be without a lil, un poco, sarcasm?
The camp-out as Alex and Jon have said was truly amazing. The weather could not, in my opinion, have been any better suited for the time we were out there. It was simply perfect. Hayrides, campfires, stories around campfires, tree-climbing, zip-lining, playing flag football, singing psalms and dancing were all major players at our church's 2nd Annual Fall Camp-out. Unfortunately, as most social events go, it was all too short. To snag a phrase from Mr. Bilbo Baggins, "[three days] is indeed too short a time to spend among such excellent and admirable [church-people]." It really should've been about a week long, to allow for enough "meshing." But, as it was, it was just awesome. And, of course, the contra-dancing was the highlight (at least for me) of the entire time. I could have very easily "danced the night (and morning) away."
Well, now that the camp is over, I have nothing to bide my time with, but school and the odd soccer-outing with friends at CNU. Well, that is, not until the 22nd of the month :)))) Yes sirree, Mom and I will be cavorting out to Colorado to help this really weird and crazy (* big smiles *) family move their belongings from one house to another. We will be out there for a most glorious two weeks, and even though its the same amount of time away, I'm wondering how in the world I'm going to survive until then. Math will dominate my time in the interim no doubt, but I will gladly pay the price of my freedom now, for a bit later.=D Now, I realize that this could very easily come across as gloating, for which I am very sorry, but I am SOOO psyched that I can hardly help it. So yeah, there is my explanation. I will try and post when I'm out there, but we'll just have to see...
Have a wonderful evening, and remember that in a few weeks it's the Reformation we're supposed to be celebrating, not jack-o-lanterns and ghoulish and ghastly artificial visages. Jesus is indeed the Reason for this most colorful Season
P.S. In case you're wondering, Walden is in fact a good book - you just have to get past the new-agist philosophy.
