It has rained. Finally. It has been almost 150 days without rain, so, yesterday the heavens just broke down and got all emo on us.
So it was raining. We couldn't work outside. So, naturally, our large family piles into the van, and we head up to Prescott to play in the snow! .... We also have a gun shop up there called J & G Sales. Which, we didn't know, closes at 3 on Saturday. Therefore the 3-4 SKS's and/or AK-47's we were going to buy will have to wait. Blast is all. (I made a funny ^_^)
Our family loves snow. Don't know why! Must have something to do with living a desert. Who knows.
Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.. or horror, which ever you want.
As I posted before.. I've been shopping for a laptop. Well, I bought one. But, alas. I can no longer call myself a geek. For, I, Samuel Joseph Lyle Ryberg.. have committed the cardinal sin of Geekhood. I broke down and bought a Dell. After you pick yourself back up and plop back into your chair... Yes, I did. No, don't do that *again.*
Only because... well.. I was going to buy a computer by a little custom builder called Sagar. But, being a little company, their prices are a bit higher. In theory I could have done it.. but.. looking at it.. testing all the waters.. there is no way I can justify spending $3,500 on a bit of plastic and metal.
So, I found one with actually better specs for $1600. What is a guy to do? And on top of that, I bought using my Dell credit account, so I don't have to pay for all of it right now. Which I can, I just don't want to. (I bought the 3 year parts, labour, and accident warranty.. so it ended up being about $2000, but heck, I don't mind)
I bought the E1705 with Intel Duo 2.0Ghz, 1024Mb's of DDR2 RAM, DVD burner, 17" UltraSharp UXGA screen on the Go 7800. And a bunch more stuff. I'm happy. It was shipped yesterday, and will be here in 3-5 days. It wasn't supposed to be here until the end of the month. So, I'll be able to lay on my bed and talk to people on webcam! (I've been setting up our house on wireless) It'll be so spiffy.

In other news.. I don't think I told y'all. If I did, I forgot. But, I am now the proud father of two Red Tailed Boas, and a brilliant little Sun Conure. I shall post pictures of them soon.
As, yes, as you can see my layout is a little different. A little brighter. Oh, and the music player at top. For those of you who don't like music to be played while you read my little bip in cyberspace, you can now turn it off.
And for those of y'all who like it, can choose from a few songs. It takes awhile for me to find the song codes and get them into the the HTML header code. I should have lots to choose from soon enough. They take awhile to load, but they all should play on any computer. No more of that "you need the right plug in for your browser" junk.
Oh! Yes! And one more thing...
Tell your friends! "The Importance of Being Earnest" is coming to our very own Herberger Theater from March 23-26. I am going one of those days. This is not just some little dinky thing. This is directed by Sir Peter Hall!
If any one would like to join us, lets find a date that will work.
Until our roads meet again! |
