Life takes us places.
We may be zipping along diligently living our lives, then God gets a tickle in His funny bone.
Then tells us what's on His mind with shattering brilliance. We look at the new car and ask ourselves “Hey! We bought it, therefore it was God's will.”
Fat chance. Wouldn't it be nice if things did work out like that? My, how boring life would be.
No... as a matter of fact, Jesus likes us to learn. He has a sense of humor so we'll know how silly it was to buy that car, when the only money we had was supposed to be there for when we retire to Wisconsin!
I love the ambiance, the smells, the aura of my family. I can't sleep well without it.
I love the way my cats are completely at peace with life, even when they just can't seem to get that dust bunny from off the back of her paw.
I love getting up early to the famous sunrises over the Superstition mountains, that are Arizona incarnate.
I love the feeling of being needed, wanted, wished for. And better yet, being able to answer the call without an instruction manual in hand..
I love the smell of three-minute old wood dust created from moist hard wood, and an old toothed saw.
I love when walking down the bread isle in the store my sister hears Glenn Miller on the radio, grabs me by the hands, and we end up getting to the chips before mommy does.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. |
