| | Hee hee. I have to take a minute to torture all of you KU fans out there. First of all, it was strangely satisfying that Linas Kleiza got picked before Wayne Simeon in the draft. The NBA draft is definately an entity unto itself and like none other. And after the entire Giddens debacle, I think we are even. Leave us alone about last year's problem, and we will try to leave the Giddens thing alone. Enough of that.
I would dearly love to go to Oceans of Fun. It is hot, and I am not comfortable at all. Would anyone like to go with me?
The non-Eminence contingent (ie. Smart Road people) are going out on a boat Monday night and watching other people set off fireworks, and hopefully eating my grandma's homemade ice cream. Doesn't that sound lovely? Much better than that death-trap of a baseball park down in Eminence.
In other news, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor retired today. She was not the one everyone expected to retire first, maybe she just wanted to show up Rehnquist. Now would be an especially important time for us to pray for our country. The appointment of a more conservative judge could be a powerful change. If you are so inclined, please pay attention to the next few months' proceedings, and even write to your congressperson. They are supposed to answer to the people! |
