Okay, I have to apologize for my total lack of posting.  Things have been so crazy lately.  I am actually supposed to be packing the car up to go back to Branson tonite after services.

I thought I would tell everyone who didn't already know that Wrigley is having surgery next Wednesday morning.  She is going to have her clogged tear duct fixed.  Not a big deal - 15 minute surgery, as routine as having tubes put in ears.  However, she does have to be put completely under for it.  Which freaks me out.  And, like every mother ever has said, it's a big deal when it's your kid.

I promise a post when I get back into town - pictures and all.

We'll be thinking about Wrigley (and her parents)!  It is scary to have them put under, even if it's completely routine.  We've been there three times so I completely understand how you feel.  It is a big deal, but it'll all be over a week from now and she'll never remember it.

Have fun in Branson!  I love it down there...it's all very sentimental for me.  That was our family vacation as a kid, weekends in Branson.  Nothing like a fall festival in Branson.

Surgery no matter how small is big for mom and dad!  I'll remember her in my prayers.  Looks like a perfect weekend to spend in Branson.  Wish I was going!

Funny you should post...I was just wondering about you guys this afternoon.  Have fun in Branson, and we'll keep Wrigley in our prayers for a quick and successful surgery.

I hope you all had/have fun in Branson, (I almost wrote Brandon, haha!), and I totally am with you on Wrigley! I hope everything goes fine, as I'm sure it will. Elena had surgery on her teeth last year, and was put under for it, so that she wouldn't have to go through multiple dentist trips with "pokies".... (yeah, she inherited my dreadful teeth, poor thing!)  (also, we had been brushing her regularly, just apparently not thoroughly enough... whatever)    Anyway, it is scary, for the parents anyway. They had lots of toys and interesting things for her to look at before she was "put under", and she didn't seem nervous at all. She was too groggy afterward to care much. I guess my only thing, is bring a favorite blankie, a sippie cup for water or gatorade, and stuff like that. She probably won't feel good afterward. I'm sorry, you didn't ask for a barrage of advice! :) Your doc's probably telling you all this anyway.    So anyway, just letting you know I've been there too. I'm sure you'll all get through it fine, and Wrigley will feel better once the tear duct is unclogged.    God bless!

Sorry that sweet little Wrigley has to have the procedure- looks as if you have a good company of praying mommas; you can add this grand-momma to that list. Thankful that it can be fixed!

Shortly after Quinton turned one, we had to go to a specialist for a blocked tear duct.  In our case though, it cleared up the day before the appointment.  We still went to the doctor, and he explained everything that would need to be done if it came back.  (Which it did not.)  However, just hearing it all was a bit intimadating, even if it is "routine".  Good luck with it all...we'll be praying here, too.
