Well, I'm finally back in Waco. It feels pretty good to be home. Just as I suspected, however, it's pretty boring here. I'm going to try to start getting into a good routine tomorrow. I have class each day from 9:40 to 11:10 (strange...) and I plan on writing at least a little each afternoon before going to the SLC to work out. Then I can play at night. If I can do that each day for at least the month of June, I'm going to feel so good about myself.
As I said, it's fairly dull here, but what can I say, it's home. I much prefer this to sitting around with my parents all the time. Although it was nice seeing you, Mary, each day you were in town. I'm going to miss that. One of many reasons I am so looking forward to the start of the fall semester. I have this gut feeling it's going to be the best yet.
Today after I got settled in, I went to Wal-Mart and spent way too much, but I got a bunch of stuff I've needed for my apartment for a long time. I got a porter, some really cool squall glasses, a couple beer mugs, new silverware, an electric air freshener, brushes for my dog, a lint roller thingy to get my dog's hair out of my carpet, etc. And not only that, but I have food in my apartment now for the first time in months.
So I guess I'm okay. But I really do hate the first week of school, and although this is a bit different, it's still going to have that feel to it, I think. Once I get used to everything I'm doing, I think it's going to be great though.
