Remember the Alamo! I just found out the coolest thing. I was reading the Texas Declaration of Independence that the Texans wrote back in 1836, and what do you think one of the reasons they revolted was? Read it for yourself: “It has demanded us to deliver up our arms, which are essential to our defence, the rightful property of freemen, and formidable only to tyrannical governments.” :-p

I'm getting a haircut today. Should I get a really short one? Shave my head? Die it purple? We report, you decide.

Take that! PHC fires worker for doctrinal reasons. PHC acted right, in my book. Fire the guy. He missed the most fundamental concept known to Christianity... grace... and he promoted it. He violated the important rules, plus was attempting to be a stumbling block to some of the students.

Considering the purpose of PHC, and the actions of whatshisname, then yes, PHC did right in giving him the ultimatum.

FDR was a commie fruitcake. I just had to get that out of my system.

Am I calling for the beginning of “The Revolution”? My xanga border says “join the resistance”, and I have picture of the statue of Captain Parker, the leader of the minute men at Lexington and Concord (a battle started by gun control, btw). So am I calling for armed conflict? Nope. The top header goes with the other header which says, “go against the flow”. So join the resistence, and go against the flow. The picture of the statue actually has nothing to do with the headers.

Speaking of revolts… When is the time for armed conflict? That’s easy. If Hilary wins the election, meet over at my house, and we can organize.

Flashbacks. I watch Mr. Rogers Neighborhood with my brother. Does this make me immature?

Wow. My mom and sister are going to the beautician. My mom said it would take about two hours. And I felt like I had a long haircut if it lasted more than five minutes…

Beauty of it All. This is my first serious poem... it's very basic, and it’s very short, I know. Don't laugh. :-p

This's the beauty of it all,
No matter when or why I fall,
You will raise me up again,
From the depths of my own sin.
    You’ll wash away this pain.,
Once again, you'll break these chains.

  • Dye it purple.   Definitely.  Yeah, two hours for a haircut is long, but not that unheard of.  Yeah, I believe PHC had the right to fire that guy.  He signed their confession of faith and if he doesn't stick to it, they have the right to do with him what they want.
  • I can't wait for Hillary to run so be can put her back in her place [that would be the losers seat] *grin*

    I'm sorry, that was mean

    but i couldn't help it.

The DEVIL made me do it!

    Are you coming to Houston?

  • PHC has the right to fire him, although I think that that's pretty retarded. I don't really see that his beliefs--that you need a public profession of a particular kind if you're saved--really violate the school's list of principles, and I agree that that's going to come across as narrow-minded to a lot of people. Oh no, someone's telling the vulnerable little students that you need to be baptized! Fire him quick!
  • PS If Hildabeast wins the election, I'll grab our shotgun and be right up to Arkansas. She's after my video games.
  • I think PHC was right, and it's true that it's things like that that lead from a very conservative school to a nonconservative one. It doesn't really matter if it's going to come across as narrow-minded, which it is. What matters is if he meets the school board's approval and qualifies for the position or not, and the obvious answer is no, which leads to the obvious conclusion: they did the right thing by firing him.

Don't DARE cut your hair too short. Those are tragedies of the worst kind.

  • PS. Love the poem. You should make a habit of writing.

  • I think that's a pretty lame way to make a point. I understand what Patrick Henry was trying to do: make sure people know that they are going to stick up for what they believe in, but surely they could come up with a better case. It's kind of a non-issue issue to me. But oh well...glad they won
  • AHAHA that's too good. :-p

Suprise me with the hair.  Just don't get a cut that will make judges vote against you.

Shaun, we should have a handgun and a shotgun and a .22 and a paintball gun by then.  How about we meet at my Uncle or your Uncle's house?  They both own mountains and have aresenals.

Mister Rogers' Neighborhood is very mature, I thought you knew that.

That poem is awesome!  you just need to make it longer and add music, and I'm serious, you can do it. :)

  • Great poem -- I agree, add music and make it longer.
  • I honestly tried not be rude, but she wanted to charge me for customer service that we'd already bought.  And I swear I was nice to the other guy I called.  If only they could build things that never hand problems....
  • I will bring all my weapons over to your house and join the revolt full-force if Hilary wins.  You can count on it.
