THIS THURSDAY at STAMP, silc will be handing out FREE COOKIES and MILK.
That’s right girls, it’s FREE.
Girls, we NEED our CALCIUM.
Did you know that women, particularly ASIAN WOMEN are at HIGH RISK for osteoporosis??
ASIAN WOMEN are at HIGH RISK b/c:
v Generally, Asian women have lower bone mass and density
v Asian women’s calcium intake is about half that of Western groups
v Slender (yup, we’re talking to you, all you petite skinny girls!) women have less bone density therefore are at greater risk
PREVENTIONS:
v Make sure to get enough calcium in your diet
v Exercise, especially weight-bearing activities such as weight-training
v Don’t smoke and limit your alcoholic intake
