| | “Mimsy
Were the Borogoves,”
This idea first occurred
to me a year or two ago, but since receiving the Best
Christmas Present Ever™ it has been brought back to the front of my
mind. As you well know, I have a thing for poetry. As you may or
may not know, at one point, I used to participate in poetry reading
competitions. At these functions, it was absolutely amazing how
differently two people could express the same poem, at times completely
changing the meaning of the poem with nothing more than creative
intonation. Just for fun, lets each record ourselves reciting a common
poem and see how we differ. And by each of us, I mean you. (Yes,
bitch. You.) Invite your friends. Once I get a few of you to
do so, I’ll post them on here for everyone to hear. The poem we’ll use
will be Lewis Carrol’s “Jabberwocky.”
Email me your recording at geoffreypieper at gmail.com
I’ve made my recording, and I have one
from Buddha and Anastasia. Where’s yours?
Quote of the day: The worst things:
To be in bed and sleep not; To want for one who comes not; To try to please and
please not.
