  • Here fishy fishy!

I find myself often in life feeling like I am on the inside looking out.  I call it the fishbowl syndrome.  You know what I mean don't you?  It's that moment in your day when you feel out of place.  Maybe you said something stupid or tripped over a leaf on the floor.  It's that hazy moment of seeing some one watching you and "tapping the glass".  The disjointed feeling of not being there.  OOPS did I just do that?  Since fish lack fingers I would shake my tail at you.  Don't just stand there watching help me up and point me in the right direction.  Don't just stand there and "look in".

Yes I bring this up cause I work in a fishbowl. It's weird sometimes being on the inside looking out.   Most of the time its nice.  Yet you can easily forget about the outside world.  You forget there is an outside world.  Until that one time you are singing and dancing around and look up to see someone watching you.  If you are lucky it is someone you know.  Those people point & laugh or just dance along with you.  Then the people you don't know as well...give you that look....you know...the she is loony look.  I just smile and wave and find a place to hide and laugh at myself.  Then the boss will show up at that one moment.  The moment where you get pissed off and throw your hands up in the air.  Or the tired moment when you finally sit down and stretch your legs out.  Never fails.
