• Sunshine Smiles

  My dad wrote this for my mom when he was 21

   

  Long ago I dreamed of you

  WHen I was young and alone.

  Now we share the happiness

  of love we call our own.

   

  As time goes on, I wonder,

  How you come to love me?

  I am just a poor man.  Is

  That the way it should be?

   

        So give me a sunshine smile

  I have seen you frown and cry

  I tried and did my best

  To make you smile and laugh

  And love received the rest.

   

  Maybe it's the loving things

  A kis and a word or two

  That makes me feel this way

  When you say I love you.
