  • My child

Thank-you for being a part of my life.  It is not always easy for us, but that is life.  I do not always make the best decisions.  I don't always make the choices you like.  I know that we both say things we should not.  I do not believe that you hate me, though it still hurts when you say you do.  Yes it is because I love you.  Someday I hope you understand what it is to love a child.  Until then you will never truly know what love is.  You will not feel complete until the first time you hold your child in your arms.  That is true love.  Until then be patient with me and I will be patient with you.  Know that being your mom is the best thing I have ever done in this world. If I were to be given a second chance I wouldn't change a thing.

no problem you deserve it. Hey listen to this.

    Meanest Mother in the
    World

    I had the meanest
mother in the world. While other kids had candy for breakfast, I had to eat
cereal, eggs, and toast. While other kids had cake and candy for lunch, I had a
sandwich. As you can guess, my dinner was different than other kid’s dinners, too.

    My mother insisted on
knowing where we were at all times. You’d think we were on a chain gang or
something. She had to know who are friends were and what we were doing.

I am ashamed to admit it, but she actually had the nerve to
break the child labor law. She made us work. We had to wash dishes, make the
beds, and learn how to cook. That woman must have stayed awake nights thinking
up things for us kids to do. And she insisted that we tell the truth, the whole
truth, and nothing but the truth.

By the time we were teenagers, she was much wiser and our
life became more unbearable. None of this tooting the car horn for us to come
running; she embarrassed us to no end by insisting that friends come to the
    door to get us.

I forgot to mention that most of our friends were allowed
to date at the mature age of 12 or 13, but our old fashioned mother refused to
let us date until we were 15. She really raised a bunch of squares. None of us
were ever arrested for shoplifting or busted for dope. And who do we have to thank
for this? You’re right, our mean mother.

I’m trying to raise my children to stand a little
straighter and taller and I’m secretly tickled to pieces when my children call
me mean. I thank god for giving me the meanest mother in the world. Our country
doesn’t need a good five-cent cigar. It needs more mean mothers like mine.

    Dear Hope,

Thank you for your recent visit and comment. I've missed you. Just read your previous entries, and see that you haven't been inspired to blog. Sorry about that. Hope you find a fount of creativity to help you through your "blogger's block"

Man, the photos of the wrecked car are mesmerizing. I think it's incredibly wonderful that you husband walked away from that one. I've been in lots of wrecks (years and years ago) but never crashed a car that bad. Did the truck driver pay for the car since it was his fault not driving with lights on?

This post is surely filled with love and affection. I have no children so will never know what it's like to love a child like this.

    Happy belated Mother's Day.

    abracadabra!

Excellent expression of the love a mother feels.  Mother's day is not just a day for Moms, but also for me to remember through all the frustrations and difficulties that kids seem to be so good at producing-I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.  They make everything alright with the world again when they give hugs and kisses.

@baldmike2004 - Neither the truck or my hubby was ticketed.  The truck driver claims he was slowing down for the light and his lights were on.  THough hubby was dragged at least 220 or so yards and not anywhere near the light.  Car ins. paid for the van.

Thanks for the compliments.  I am saddened when I hear that people wont ever know that kids of love.  It is the best kind, even better than a spouse or partner......at least in my opinion.  As hard as it is sometimes to get them to respond to you.  I have one that is beyond unaffectionate.  Can't even hug him.

@caffeinated_frog - I have my days when I think about trading them in.  Those are the days I lock myself away for awhile.

@SadnessPart1 - Yippee for giving myself time outs.  And I then I am happy to see and play with them again.
