| | Uno, Dos, Tres ...Today, I decided to build upon my experience in Spain by practicing my Spanish ... somehow. I haven't worked out the bits & bobs yet of my practice, but I do know that I need to continue practicing and increase my confidence with spoken Spanish.
I happened upon this decision in the wee hours of the morning, when I do my best thinking. As my current unemployed status and "free" time will be spent on writing, reading and watching TV, I figured I had time to add one more thing.
I'm researching a couple of ideas, based on a convo with my older sister yesterday. I'm reflecting on my experiences of the past year - good and bad - to try and figure out the purpose for my journey. I already know that I treasure the friendships I made while abroad, but I also felt my friendships in the States were deepened as well.
This post is all over the place, but it's the state of my mind, so there we have it.
I brainstormed a bit about my poem's "lavender" theme and this was all I had:
Purple's osmosis in a pool of sun's rays. Nostrils flirted with tendrils, hint of jasmine but lighter. Bees danced above cauldrons of honey, warmed by the sun, drunkenly weaving; a natural mating dance.
What does it mean? I haven't a clue. I'll have a think about it and will probably change it soon.
I watched the 1st episode of Survivor - Micronesia: Fans vs Faves early this am as well. Only 9 more to go. A big thanks to CBS for keeping the full episodes of popular shows free. Now, if only I could view my UK shows from outside the UK, I'd be a happier couch potato.
Back to temp job huntin' for me, as well as some viewin' of Judge Hatchett.
My "currently listening" selection was a CD I regretted not bringing with me last year, but I listened to it so much that I had George Michael's notes and music in my head. Almost as good as the real thing.
Peace,
Moi
