I think I totally misread the directions of the fingerless glove I'm trying to knit, and repeated the lace pattern three times in a section where I should only have done it twice. I'm just going to go ahead and finish it, purely to practice the finger openings, and if it doesn't fit I'll turn it into a cat toy.
If it does fit, that means I'm going to have to mess up the matching glove in the same way.
There's another knitter in my department at work now, and a couple more in the children's department. We could totally get a private stitch 'n' bitch group going in the staff lounge on our lunch break.

Sounds like a plan.
My mom's cats' favorite toys were the ones she crocheted. If it doesn't fit, sew the fingers and bottom shut, fill it with fluff first, and then have a long string at the end. Then you can throw it when the cat is annoying and he will chase it (hopefully) lol
