Today was a blast.

Well, first of all, I didn't get to make fun of Brandon (the Brandon at work; not my brother). Pretty disappointing, because I was really looking forward to it when I saw his car there, but he wasn't manning a cookie table this week. I told him, though, that "there are way worse things I could've called you than Cookie Man. Because, ya know... Girl Scouts sell cookies too." He said "awwwwwww man!" and thanked me for being merciful. I believe I'm gonna like 'the new guy.' He's cool. Quiet, but he talks to me now when he sees me. Because, obviously, I'm special like that. And everyone else just isn't. And people just need to accept that. But anyhoo...

Lantz and Yanet were making fun of me for wearing my CVS shirt there while I wasn't working. So I gave a very convincing speech about my pride of being an employee of "this fine establishment." Lantz said, "aren't we all," but then he started laughing. The liar.

Rachael and I ditched church tonight. I'll stop and wait for the collective gasp that is bound to come from my using "ditched" and "church" in the same sentence, while speaking of myself. No, let me explain. I did go to church. Just not to mine. We went to see Warren Barfield at Deer Park First Baptist (which was cool, because I know a bunch of people who go there, and I saw them tonight). It was free. And I really like him. So it was a no-brainer. Yeah, it was a blast. He's a fun guy. And you know what? I had my camera and didn't take a single picture through the whole set. And I sat on the second row and could've gotten AWESOME pics. That's right. Write that down in your history books because that's never happened before. (Remember, I took four rolls when I saw Joy last week.) I just took pictures later when I talked to him.

What I really liked about Warren is how personable he is. He obviously enjoyed himself tonight, and after almost everyone had gone home he was still talking to this sweet lady in a wheelchair who just wanted to chat with him. So he got all comfy on the floor and sat and talked to her. I really liked that. He and Zachary (a 4-year-old friend) had a good time with each other tonight. Zach had everyone cracking up.

And now I must bid you all farewell. I had a lot to think about tonight, and I told Warren I'd send him an e-mail (that he said he'd look forward to, so I need to remind him that he has to enjoy reading it.) and I have to write it down while it's all still fresh or I'll forget it all. Well... it's been about an hour now, so it's only semi-fresh. It's kinda like a day-old donut. Anyway... I'll make it work. Bye!

That concert last night was really awesome Beth like you had said. I couldn't believe either how down to earth he was and had so much fun.  I know he touched alot of people's hearts last night, mine included,  with his message and just how personal he was when you would talk to him, it was really cool :) I'm glad we "ditched" church last night to have that experience.
