Elva was backed up at the register today, so I walked over to help her. The guy she was ringing up had looked up at me when I walked over, so I smiled at him. I didn't say anything, though, I started talking to my customer. But I noticed that guy out of the corner of my eye looking at me, so I looked back up at him and he was just looking at me. I went back to what I was doing, but this happened again a few seconds later. This time he kinda grinned at me when I looked at him. This happened many times, and he wasn't even there but a couple of minutes. He started to walk away, but when he stepped back he stopped to look over at me again. Then when he was walking out the door he kept slowing down and looking over his shoulder at me, and grinning. He knew I saw him, because we kept making eye contact while I was trying to figure him out. After he left I looked at Elva and cracked up. I couldn't hold it in any longer. It was an incredulous laugh... most ridiculous situation ever.

The best I could come up with was it was either the obvious, or I had something in my teeth. But I hadn't eaten anything, so...

Guys are funny.

Sometimes you just have to laugh.
