| | Just a little story to share. I've been tight with money lately, pretty much my whole paycheck (which isn't much) goes straight to one place. Last time (last week) I was stressing about it, I asked God to provide what I needed to get my bills paid, and I got a raise at work. This was a raise that I was supposed to get almost a year and a half ago. I'm still working on getting retro pay, though, so please be in prayer that that works out. I have to talk to my district manager about that. She doesn't want to give it to me. Anyway... I got a raise.
Also, I didn't go to church last week and so I didn't put in my tithe. So yesterday I tithed from this week's check and last week's combined. That's quite a bit more than I normally give, and it looked like a LOT to me, considering what I make. And I'll be honest, I actually entertained the idea of not putting it in. I knew that was wrong though, so I wrote out the check and held it in my hand and told God, "you know I need this money. I'm going to give it to You, but please, please bless me."
A few hours later I was handed money for something I had spent quite a bit of my own money on a while back. It was two dollars short of what I had just given.
Don't rob God; give Him the small amount He asks of you. He'll pay you back. One way or another. |
