My x-rays finally look cool now, I'm happy. These were done today:

The first one pretty much explains itself, since normal feet don't have screws in the heel. In the second one you can see the little anchor that holds the tendon, but I'll circle it for you:

And I'll throw this one in. Mom posted it but I never did. This is 4 weeks ago before he took out my stitches and put the cast on:

I looked at it today when he took the cast off, and even though there's no stitches anymore, it still looks the same to me.

Oh, and if you look real close, you can see the break across the end of the heel bone. (That's where the doctor broke that bone to reposition it.)

is the screw a phillips or straight? Does someone get to tighten it down if you are accused of having a screw loose?

will it set off the airport scanner?

phillips or straight All we know is that it is indeed a wood screw. I had been calling it a "big old honkin deck screw" and the doctor said it was a wood screw. :rollingeyes:

if you are accused of having a screw loose People accuse her of that all the time, but she will hit anybody that touches it. Even the doctor. :oh-no:

will it set off the airport scanner We have wondered, and it probably will. That would be worth a trip to the airport to find out. :what:

When was the last time both your feet were healthy? It seems you've been walking wounded for quite a while now. I think whoever operated on your foot screwed up the whole procedure. (I'm guessing you've gotten that one at least 10 times by now.)

At least nobody can say your body isn't getting enough iron.

I wonder if a magnet would stick to your heel.

@spartan26 - I've been walkng wounded since October 31st. And no, I actually haven't gotten that one before! Congrats to you.

That's an interesting thought... I need a magnet...

Battle scars are really cool. I have my share. It seems like anything metal will set off an airport scanner. I never fail to get caught going through the airport scanner...I was told I wouldn't need a card to show I had metal in me. Oh well. :what:

You're battle scars will fade, believe it or not. And they look even more cool when they fade. I have some on each of my feet and on my left ankle. And if you tan, they stand out even better!

Some day we will get together and compare our battle scars! :so-cool:
